Time management is the essence of every entrance exam. Manage time from day one helps in clearing the competitive exam with high scores in the first attempt.

SRMJEEE is a Joint Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University for admission of aspiring engineering students who want to pursue their engineering from SRM University campuses across the country. SRMJEEE has its difficulty level as the institution focuses on bringing onboard the most deserving and meritorious students to their campuses. SRM University offers various streams of engineering across all its campuses. In this article on SRMJEEE, we will discuss my experience of having the ideal approach to plan the studies, highlighting the scoring topics for each subject, time management strategy and so on.

SRMJEEE Study Plan

The key to the successful accomplishment of any entrance examination is a good study plan that is formulated with a structured approach. The study plan should include preparing for important chapters in each subject, clarifying concepts, covering the syllabus, practising and solving mock papers/ previous question papers and so on. Following this approach would always help in building confidence and scoring high marks in the examination.

The preparation for the engineering entrance examination should start with the Class 12 classes. This would give ample time to prepare for the entrance examination. As far as the revision approach is concerned, I had adopted a thorough revision plan after each chapter. I had prepared a daily timetable which included preparation of subjects during the week and revision during the weekends. This way all the important chapters and concepts were covered as planned, and gave me sufficient time for revision and also solve mock papers and previous year question papers.

The proper study plan should include the following:

  1. i) Review the SRMJEEE 2021 syllabus and mark the important chapters
  2. ii) Cover the syllabus by dividing it into daily and weekly targets

iii) Prepare a weekly timetable categorizing the chapters into hard, moderate and easy

iv)Prepare the chapters with higher weightage thoroughly

  1. v) Attempt SRMJEEE 2021 previous year question papers and mock papers
  2. vi) Ensure revision of the topics covered daily

Preparation Strategy – Scoring Topics

The preparation strategy should always be in line with the topics that carry higher weightage in the examination. Following are the subject-wise chapters with approximate weightage assigned basis the previous years’ question papers.

SRMJEEE: Tips for time management

Proper time management is the key for every entrance exam Following are the key points for efficiently managing the time

  1. Formulate a reasonably practical timetable that balances with your daily schedules
  2. Make use of different sources of learning using audio-visual tools, concept-based articles and so on
  3. Take reasonable breaks to re-energize your brain
  4. Prepare short notes for topics covered daily– This would be helpful for quick revisions

Managing Class 12 and SRMJEEE Preparation

Preparation for SRMJEEE and Class 12 board exams could be tiring yet easy. The preparation for both the examinations could be managed simultaneously. One should not get over-confident thinking that the preparation for the board examinations would be sufficient for clearing the SRMJEEE exam. Any entrance exam requires consistent practice.

SRMJEEE: Last week tips and tricks

The last week before the entrance examination is a crucial phase. By this time, the preparation should be completed. This time could be used by every student in revising important topics. The efforts should be doubled to cover the maximum syllabus during revision. Avoid starting new topics that were missed earlier during the last week.
