WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling Seat Matrix: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released official WBJEE 2026 decentralised counselling seat matrix. Candidates can check the course and college-wise number of vacant seats available through WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026 seat matrix. As per official notification, a total of 33,857 seats is available for Phase 1 decentralised counselling process. Before starting WBJEE 2026 decentralised counselling registration, candidates are advised to check official seat matrix.
WBJEE 2026 decentralised counselling will be held in two phases. In each phase, two rounds of seat allocation list for WBJEE will be announced. Commonly asked questions
During WBJEE counselling, the students who want to withdraw their admission have to complete it before the last date. If the withdrawal is not done on time, then they will not be able to get refund of the seat acceptance fee.
WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE counselling process online. All qualified candidates have to register for the counselling and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The counselling fee also has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline counselling will be held.
Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.
There are many private colleges that participate in WBJEE counselling. Some popular private colleges that will accept students based on their WBJEE scores are Heritage Institute of Technology, Techno India University, Haldia Institute of Technology, and more. List of colleges will be available soon so that students can select their choice for counselling.
WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling Process
WBJEEB is conducting WBJEE decentralised counselling process to select candidates for admissions into vacant seats. For each phase of counselling, two seat allocation lists will be announced. The authorities will open fresh registration and choice filling for the two phases of WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026. However, the choices cannot be submitted in order of preference.
During WBJEE 2026 seat allocation, WBJEE ranks will be considered for admission. If candidates are not allotted during Round 1 allocation, then they will be eligible for Round 2. Before WBJEE decentralised seat allocation, candidates should carefully check official eligibility criteria.

Only appearing for WBJEE is not enough for B.Arch. As per Council of Architecture (CoA) rules, you must also have a valid score in NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture) alongside your academic and state entrance qualifications.

Yes, but only in private colleges through management quota, based on Class 12 marks, without needing WBJEE. Colleges like IEM, Heritage, Techno India, and Adamas offer this option.
Always check that the college is AICTE-approved before taking direct admission, as unapproved seats can create problems
