GITAM GAT 2026 Exam Pattern: It is essential for candidates who have applied for various UG and PG courses at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) to be aware of the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) exam pattern. The exam pattern differs for each course and is conducted as a computer-based test across various states in India and also as an online proctored test for some courses. The duration of the test varies from 1 hour to 2 hours depending on the course. The test consists of objective-type questions with four answer options, out of which one is correct. GITAM GAT 2026 Instructions and Guidelines

On the day of the exam candidates must follow the following guidelines:

  • The candidate has to register his/her name at the registration counter in the test centre.
  • The GAT 2026 e-hall tickets of the candidates will be verified by the proctor to confirm the candidate's identity.
  • The candidates have to produce any one of the following for personal identification: Passport / Driving License / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / School or College photo bearing ID card / Aadhar Card.
  • Each candidate will be given a seat with a computer. Candidate must take the allotted seat at least 15 minutes before the test commences.
  • No candidate will be allowed to go outside the test hall till the completion of the entire duration of the test. Once a candidate leaves the test hall, he/she will not be permitted to re-enter the test hall under any circumstances.
  • Candidates must sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. The candidate must obey the rules of the test centres, otherwise, he/she will be automatically debarred from the test.
  • In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to take the test again.

Do not carry: Candidates will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of paper or any other material except the e-hall ticket into the examination hall. Candidates are also not permitted to bring calculators, slide rules, Clark tables and electronic watches with facilities of calculators, laptop or palmtop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets, mobile phones, paging devices or any other object/device that is likely to be of unfair assistance.

The last date to apply for the GAT registrations in the year 2025 was 5th June 2025. The candidates were allowed to submit applications for BBA admissions since December 2024. Candidates who registered themselves for the exam within this period will be able to appear for the GITAM GAT entrance exam
