WBJEE 2026 Cutoff: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will release WBJEE cutoff 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Through WBJEE 2026 cutoff, candidates will be able to know opening and closing ranks for admissions into courses offered by participating institutes. However, admissions are not guaranteed even if WBJEE cutoff is met. These candidates will have higher chances of admission, as other factors are also considered for allotment. It is to be noted that WBJEE cutoff 2026 will be different for every category, course and college.

WBJEEB will consider various factors such as exam difficulty level, previous year's cutoff trends, number of candidates and more, while preparing WBJEE 2026 cutoff. No, the students who meet the WBJEE cutoff will not be guaranteed admission. However, they will have higher chances of admission into their preferences. Since other factors will also be considered for allotment, the cutoff cannot be used as a guarantee for admission.

WBJEE 2026 counselling dates will be announced soon. For admission into courses offered by participating colleges of the state, candidates will have to register for WBJEE counselling 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. While registering, candidates will have to log in using their required details and update previously submitted information. Next, they will have to select their choice of colleges and courses according to order of preference. WBJEE 2026 counselling fee has to be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card. If candidates do not pay the fee, they will not be considered eligible for counselling process.

WBJEEB will announce WBJEE 2026 seat allotment online. Allotment will be done based on rank, preferences and seat availability. All allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission by verifying their documents and paying tuition fee. If admission is not confirmed, allotment will be cancelled.

Q:   Are self-financing institutes included in WBJEE counselling?
A: 

Yes, there a self-financing institutes included in the WBJEE counselling process. In the self-financing institutes, the 10% approved seats will be open for JEE Main qualified candidates. These students do not require WBJEE scores for admission.

Q:   Are JEE Main scores accepted for WBJEE admissions?
A: 

Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.

Q:   How can I check my WBJEE seat allotment result?
A: 

WBJEE seat allotment result is declared online. To check allotment result, students have to select their type of registration and log in using their roll number and password. Students will not be informed about their allotment in any other mode.

Q:   Will I be allotted a rank if I appear for just WBJEE Paper 1?
A: 

If the students appear for just WBJEE Paper 1 (Mathematics), they will not be allotted any rank. These students will not be considered eligible for admissions. For allotment, the students will have to attempt both Paper 1 and 2 of WBJEE.

Q:   What is the WBJEE merit list?
A: 

WBJEE merit list will be prepared to allot ranks to students who have qualified exam. Scores will be used to prepare merit list. There will be two merit lists, General Merit Rank List and Pharmacy Merit Rank List.

Q:   Who are eligible for the second round of WBJEE counselling?
A: 

The second round of WBJEE counselling is held to upgrade the registered candidates or freshly allot the ones who were not allotted in the first round. Only these candidates will be able to participate in the second counselling round, since fresh registrations will not be accepted.

Q:   If there is a tie in the WBJEE score, which candidate will be given first preference?
A: 

If two or more students have same WBJEE score, then tie breaking guidelines will be followed. Student who has an lesser negative marks in PCM will be given a higher rank. If tie is not broken, then guideline will be followed step by step.

If you belong to the OBC, SC, ST, EWS or PWD HS category, then yes, you can get a seat at KGEC with a rank of 600 in the WBJEE entrance examination. 

For the OBC HS category, the overall cutoff ranged from 4156 to 11190, according to the first and last rounds for various BTech course specialisations.
