Q:   How can I use WBJEE question papers for preparation?

Candidates can use previous year WBJEE question papers to know important topics and repeated questions. They can also use question papers to prepare for examination by understanding important topics. 

Q:   Is the WBJEE question paper available in Bengali?
A: 

Students will have choice to attempt WBJEE question paper in English or Bengali. Each question will be available in both English and Bengali. Students can choose the one they are comfortable to use. No other language is used for WBJEE.

Q:   Will the WBJEE question paper be available online?
A: 

Authorities will release WBJEE question paper online. Students can download official question paper to know type of questions that are likely to be present in examination. Previous years' question papers can also be checked to help with preparation process.

Q:   Should I attempt mock tests to prepare for WBJEE?
A: 

During WBJEE preparation, students should practice with mock tests. These mock tests will help know how examination will be held. This will make it easier for students to prepare for exam. Mock tests also help students know important topics to study for exam.

Q:   What is the WBJEE marking scheme?
A: 

WBJEE marking scheme is different according to category of question. The questions are divided into three categories. For Category I and II, there is negative marking, while there is none for Category III questions.

Q:   Is WBJEE an online or offline exam?
A: 

WBJEE is held offline as a pen and paper based test. Students have to report to centre and attempt exam in an OMR sheet. Out of the given options for each question, student will have to mark correct one with their pen and submit it.

Q:   Is the WBJEE syllabus level similar to 12th standard?
A: 

Yes, the WBJEE syllabus will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination. The topics and units of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be similar to the ones the candidates studied for their board exams. Students can refer to their board exam books to prepare for WBJEE.

WBJEE syllabus is important for exam preparation. To prepare their study plan, students have to be familiar subjects and topics in syllabus. Students should check WBJEE syllabus regularly so they are updated on what has to be studied.

Q:   Will official WBJEE mock test be available?
A: 

WBJEEB will not release official WBJEE mock test online. To prepare for exam, candidates can check official question papers. If released, authorities will announce details of mock test at official website.

Q:   How many papers are there in WBJEE?
A: 

WBJEE 2026 exam will have two papers. Paper 1 will be Mathematics and Paper 2 will be Physics and Chemistry.

Q:   Are WBJEE question papers released officially?
A: 

WBJEEB will release official WBJEE question papers online. Candidates can check official question papers at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Separate question papers will be released for Paper 1 and Paper 2 of WBJEE.

Q:   What is the total duration of WBJEE paper?
A: 

Total duration of WBJEE is four hours. WBJEE is divided into two papers. 2 hours each will be given for Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). No extra time will be given to complete exam.

Q:   What is the division of questions in the WBJEE exam?
A: 

WBJEE is held as an offline test. Mathematics will have 75 questions and Physics and Chemistry will have 80 questions each. Total number of questions in WBJEE is 155.

If you belong to the OBC, SC, ST, EWS or PWD HS category, then yes, you can get a seat at KGEC with a rank of 600 in the WBJEE entrance examination.
