GITAM GAT 2026 Sample Question Paper: The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) conducts the GITAM admission test (GAT) for admission to various UG and PG courses across its campuses. The GITAM GAT sample paper and question papers are an important part of the GAT preparation process. GITAM GAT Question Paper Pattern

The GITAM GAT 2026 exam is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or an online proctored exam. For B.Tech., the paper pattern is as follows:

  • There are two sections in the paper.
    • Section 1 is Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
    • Section 2 is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

In section 1 of the GITAM question papers, candidates have to solve 60 questions of 120 marks, and in section 2, candidates face 40 questions of 80 marks. This implies that each of the questions in the paper will have 2 marks. The complete GITAM GAT question papers will have 100 questions of a maximum of 200 marks.

For GITAM GAT preparation of BTech, candidates can refer to the books like NCERT and all other books that they refer to for their class 11 and 12 preparations.

Q:   Which body conducts GAT exam?
A: 

GITAM Aptitude Test (GAT) is conducted by GITAM Deemed to be University for admission to various UG and PG programmes. The examination is held in computer based mode, wherein candidates will have to report at the designated exam centre. GAT exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes for BBA and 90 minutes for MBA. Candidates must attempt 100 for BBA and 200 questions for MBA within the given time duration. No provision for extra time is applicable for students appearing for GAT.

Q:   What is the syllabus for GITAM GAT BTech?

GITAM GAT BTech syllabus includes 10+2 level questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude & Analytical Reasoning, and English. Candidates must note that the GAT syllabus varies from course to course and thus candidates must check the syllabus before starting their exam preparations.

Q:   Will the GAT question paper have descriptive type questions?
A: 

No, all the questions in the GAT question paper will be objective-type questions and will be in MCQ format. Candidates will be given four options for each question. Candidates will have to select the correct option for each question. GAT question paper will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be for one mark. There will be a negative marking for any wrong answers. Candidates will have to attempt the 200 questions in 60 minutes. There will be no sectional time limit to attempt the GAT exam sections. GAT 2026 exam will be held multiple times in a year in computer-based mode across 27 cities in India.
