GITAM GAT 2026 Sample Question Paper: The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) conducts the GITAM admission test (GAT) for admission to various UG and PG courses across its campuses. GITAM GAT BTech syllabus includes 10+2 level questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude & Analytical Reasoning, and English. Candidates must note that the GAT syllabus varies from course to course and thus candidates must check the syllabus before starting their exam preparations.

Q:   How many times is GAT exam conducted?
A: 

GAT exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The examination dates are annunced for each phase. GAT is a university level entrance examination conducted for admission to UG and PG management programmes of GITAM Deemed to be University. Candidates willing to appear for GAT exam must stay updated with the phase wise exam dates and last date to apply for exam. It is expected that GAT 2026 registrations will commence in second week of December 2025 at gitam.edu.

The GITAM GAT BTech exam is held for 2 Hours and all questions are MCQ type with +2 for correct answer and no negative marking.

Q:   What is the GITAM GAT marking scheme?
A: 

In GITAM GAT, each correct answer will be awarded 1 or 2 marks. There is no negative marking. Each question has four options, of which one is correct.

Q:   Will the GAT question paper have descriptive type questions?
A: 

No, all the questions in the GAT question paper will be objective-type questions and will be in MCQ format. Candidates will be given four options for each question. Candidates will have to select the correct option for each question. GAT question paper will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be for one mark. There will be a negative marking for any wrong answers. Candidates will have to attempt the 200 questions in 60 minutes. There will be no sectional time limit to attempt the GAT exam sections. GAT 2026 exam will be held multiple times in a year in computer-based mode across 27 cities in India.

GAT exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes for BBA and 90 minutes for MBA. Candidates must attempt 100 for BBA and 200 questions for MBA within the given time duration. No provision for extra time is applicable for students appearing for GAT.
