The AILET 2026 registration is ongoing. Candidates looking to sit for the exam will first have to apply for the exam through the NLU Delhi official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The last date to register for the AILET exam 2026 is November 10, 2025. The AILET 2026 notification mentions that candidates will be required to submit the registration form by paying the AILET application fee of INR 3000 for General category candidates and INR 1000 for SC/ST candidates.

How to fill the AILET Application Form 2026?

Below given steps can be followed for the AILET Registration,

Step 1: Online AILET Registration

1. Go to the official website of NLU Delhi, http://www.nludelhi.ac.in  or https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/  

2. Click on 'Register to Apply Now' where you need to create a signup/ login account by providing the below-mentioned information,

  • Name 
  • E-mail Address
  • Create a Password
  • Date of Birth 
  • Mobile Number 
  • Contact Address

The signup window appears, enter the required details as mentioned below:

3. Click on confirm registration, and log in again to fill the application form using your registered email address and password.

Step 2: Select the Law course 

  • AILET exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law. 
  • For this, candidates need to select the application form for – BA LLB (Hons) and LLM.
  • Once, the course has been selected, click on the “Apply Now” button for the next step.

Step 3: Fill AILET 2026 application form

On successfully creating the AILET login account, candidates can fill the form to complete the application process of NLU Delhi admissions. Applicants will be required to fill the below given information in the detailed application form of AILET 2026:

Step 4:  Upload Documents

Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications below:

  • The file should be of a JPG, GIF or PNG format
  • The file should be a scanned copy of their recent photograph, colour photo, with a white background and the candidates' face should cover at least 75% of the photo

  • It should be a scanned copy of signature either in black or blue ink on light color background. The image should be clear and not grainy

Step 5: Pay the application fee

In the final step towards completing the application process, make AILET Application Form 2026 Fee Payment as mentioned below:

Online mode - Candidates can pay the application fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking option through online payment gateway. To pay the application fee, select the mode of payment as 'Online Payment Gateway' and fill in the details of the card or net banking and proceed to pay. 

Offline mode - If candidates want to pay the application fee in offline mode then they have to select 'Cash Deposit at post office' as the mode of payment. Then they have to select their city, the nearest branch and a challan will be generated. Download it and pay the fee in cash at the selected branch within 48 hours of generating the challan. Once the fee has been paid, the updated status will reflect on the applicant's account within 72 hours.

Step 6: Application Form Submission

Once the application fee has been paid and the status for it is reflected in the applicant account, cross-check the details entered on the form and submit it online only. Also, take printouts of the submitted application form for future references.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before filling out the AILET 2026 application form, candidates will have to fulfill the AILET eligibility criteria as provided below:

AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB
  • Candidates will be given admission based on Class 10+2 marks 
  • Candidates belonging to the General Category will need a minimum of 45% marks, SC/ST category candidates will need 40% and 42% in case of OBC
  • Class 12 appearing students can also apply for the BA LLB (Hons.) program 
AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for LLM
  • Candidates who completed a graduation degree (3-year or 5-year LLB course) from a recognised college/university. 
  • General category candidates need a minimum of 50% qualifying exam marks 
  • The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates is 45% and Persons with Disabilities
  • Candidates appearing for their final year LL.B. exam are also eligible to apply

The registration for AILET 2026 LLM or AILET PG 2026 commenced at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Candidates looking to take admission to the LLM course at the NLU Delhi will have to follow the same steps for AILET LLM 2026 exam registration as that of AILET 2026 BA LLB registration.

What Documents are Required to fill AILET Application Form 2026?

Candidates applying for the AILET 2026 exam must keep the important documents ready before applying for the exam. Refer to the list of documents required to fill AILET 2026 application form below,

  • Class 10th/ 12th Marksheet and certificate
  • Passport size photo with white background (Size should be less than 1 MB, format .jpg/.jpeg)
  • Scanned signature (maximum size 1 MB, format - .jpg/.jpeg)
  • BPL certificate (if you belong to the BPL category) (Max size - 2 MB)
  • Passport (if you belong to a Foreign National (FN) category) (Max size - 2 MB)

Once the AILET application form is submitted, NLU Delhi will allow the candidates to edit the form. For that,

  • Visit, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in
  • Click on the 'Already Registered Login' tab.
  • Login by entering your user ID and password craeted during the registration.
  • Click on the 'Go to Edit Application Form' tab.
  • Enter the correct details in the AILET application form.
  • Click on Submit tab to save and submit the changes made.

What After AILET Registration 2026?

Once the AILET registration form is submitted, NLU Delhi will release the admit card or hall ticket. It will be mandatory for candidates to carry the admit card to the exam hall. Without the hall ticket, candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Along with this document, candidates also need to carry a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Passport).

Follow the steps given below to download the AILET admit card,

  • Use the login ID and password to login to the candidate account
  • The admit card link will be displayed on the dashboard
  • Click on the admit card link to download your AILET admit card
  • Download and save the admit card for future reference (multiple copies)
