The Consortium of National Law Universities revised the policy for the Person with Disability Category (PwD). This will apply to CLAT 2027. Check this page for more details.
CLAT 2027 PwD Policy Revised: The Consortium of NLUs has revised the Policy for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) for their conduct in the CLAT 2027 exam. The candidates claiming PwD Status, will be required to intimate the Consortium about their conditions in the CLAT 2027 registration form. The Consortium released a detailed notification for the candidates claiming the PwD Status and asking for accommodation at the CLAT exam centre.
As per the notification, such candidates will be required to fill the appropriate details claiming the PwD status in the CLAT 2027 Registration form. Such candidates are entitled to get reasonable accommodation at the CLAT exam centre. Reasonable accommodation may include additional compensatory time, assistance of a scribe/reader, easing access to the examination centre etc.
Candidates who develop a disability after submitting their CLAT 2027 application can also reach out to the Consortium to claim such reasonable accommodation. But their claim must accompany with necessary documents, which will be verified by the Consortium.
How to Claim the Reasonable Accommodation in CLAT 2027?
The candidates must follow the procedure given below to claim the PwD facilities in CLAT 2027:
- Candidates must select the appropriate disability category in the CLAT application form
- Such candidates must upload their UDID Card or Disability Certificate as proof of their disability.
- Indicate clearly whether they require a scribe
- Other than a scribe, if the candidate requires any additional facility, they can write to the Nodal Officer, PwD, CLAT 2027 at nodalofficer-pwd@consortiumofnlus.ac.in with a copy to clatoffice@consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
These requests must be made up to two days before CLAT 2027. After that, it would be difficult to accommodate.

Candidates are required to pay the CLAT Registration/Form fee as per their category. The Consortium prescribed the category-wise form fee. Without submitting the CLAT form fee, the registration will not be completed.

No, a domicile certificate is not mandatory for all candidates. It is only required if you intend to claim a reservation/ seat under state quota (offered by specific NLUs). Students can skip this document if they are applying solely under the All-India open category.

CLAT does not give a fixed number for grammar. The exam is fully passage-based. Grammar is tested inside English Language, which carries around 20% weightage.
