KMAT 2023 application form released

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test(KMAT) is an entrance test conducted by KPPGCA or Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges Association. KMAT 2023 registrations began on June 30, 2023. The KMAT exam will be conducted on November 5, 2023. KMAT 2023 will be conducted in the home-based online remote proctored test mode. The duration of the exam will be two hours.

KMAT 2023 is a gateway for admission to various Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and Masters in Computer Application (MCA) courses in more than 189 top colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka.

Q:   Can the KMAT application fee be refunded?
A:

The application fee for KMAT exam is not refundable. After the student has paid the KMAT application fee, authorities will not refund the fee under any circumstances. Even if the student fails to appear for the exam, then also, the application fee is also not refundable. 
Students should check the KMAT eligiblity criteria and other exam details regarding the application process before applying for the KMAT exam. Students should also check for a reservation policy for the application fee. 

Q:   When will the registration process for KMAT exam start? When will the KMAT exam be held?
A:

The registration process for KMAT starts a few months before the exam date. The exact dates for the registration process may vary each year. This year, the KMAT registrations started on May 14, 2025. The last date of application was August 20, 2025. KMAT 2025 exam was conducted on September 7, 2025. 

Q:   Which documents are needed at the time of KMAT Karnataka registrations?
A:

During KMAT registrations, students will need the following documents:

  1. A recent passport-sized photograph in the specified format and size. The photograph should be clear and taken against a light-colored or white background.

  2. Student's scanned signature in the specified format and size. The signature should be done with a black or dark blue ink pen on a white paper.

  3. Students will need to provide a valid and active email address and mobile number.

  4. Basic personal information such as your name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, etc. They will also need to provide their permanent address and correspondence address.

  5. Information about the student's educational background, including the name of the institution, year of passing, percentage/CGPA obtained, and other relevant details.

KMAT 2023 registration have begun on June 6, 2023. The KMAT application forms are available online only on the official website. The KMAT 2023 application form is the same for all courses, and the candidates can choose their preferences while filling out the KMAT application form online.   1. Visit the official website of KMAT India
  2. The candidates need to fill the personal details such as name, date of birth, e-mail, phone number, country, etc.
  3. Candidates will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number which is to be filled on the KMAT 2023 application window
  4. After the successful registration, candidates will receive an application number and a password on the registered numbers and email IDs
  5. To fill the application form the candidates will have to login using the application number and password provided to them
  6. The candidates will have to fill in their personal details such as name, date of birth, nativity, address, etc. They also have to fill the course they are applying for and the preferred KMAT test centre

Note: Once the candidates have selected the city, no changes will be allowed. Also, if the candidate is applying for two streams, he/she will have to apply for two streams separately. Hence, two hall tickets or admit cards will be issued to that candidate.

  1. After filling in the details, candidates have to upload valid documents required and make fee payments using Credit Card/Debit Card, E-wallets, or any other online payment method

KMAT 2023 Exam Pattern

KMAT exam 2023 will be conducted in the home-based online remote proctored mode. The KMAT 2023 question paper will have questions from three subjects and will be of a two-hour duration. Look at the table below for a detailed KMAT exam pattern.

Q:   I belong to a reserved category. Do I have to fill out a different KMAT application form?
A:

No, candidates do not have to fill a different KMAT application form if they belong to a reserved category. The KMAT application form is the same for all categories across. Students will be required to select their category during the application process. Students should ensure that they have the necessary certificates during the admission process.

The conducting authority of KMAT Karnataka takes into consideration the category information provided by candidates while evaluating their applications. 

Q:   Can I fill the application form first and pay the application fee later for KMAT?
A:

Yes, when candidates are applying for KMAT they do not have to fill the form and pay the application fee in one go. However, they have to pay the application within a few days of filling the KMAT registration form. Candidates must note that a completely filled application form without the application fee will be rejected. Candidates must pay the fee online in order to complete the KMAT application process and register their candidature.

KMAT 2023 Syllabus Overview

KMAT 2023 question paper will have three sections, i.e. Verbal and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The Verbal and Reading Comprehension section will cover topics like Grammar, synonyms, antonyms, para jumbles, phrases, vocabulary, etc. The Quantitative Aptitude section is all about mathematics. KMAT 2023 Preparation

To prepare for KMAT 2023, it is important to make a study plan which incorporates every topic of the syllabus while giving ample time to each individual topic. Begin the KMAT preparations with important topics and understand the fundamentals and basic concepts. Once you have covered the syllabus, practice a few sample papers and mock tests. Students preparing for KMAT Karnataka 2023 exam must divide their preparation days smartly and efficiently.
