KMAT 2023 application form released

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test(KMAT) is an entrance test conducted by KPPGCA or Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges Association. KMAT 2023 registrations began on June 30, 2023. The KMAT exam will be conducted on November 5, 2023. KMAT 2023 will be conducted in the home-based online remote proctored test mode. The duration of the exam will be two hours.

KMAT 2023 is a gateway for admission to various Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and Masters in Computer Application (MCA) courses in more than 189 top colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka.

The registration process for KMAT starts a few months before the exam date. The exact dates for the registration process may vary each year. This year, the KMAT registrations started on May 14, 2025. The last date of application was August 20, 2025. KMAT 2025 exam was conducted on September 7, 2025. 

Q:   Can I fill out the Karnataka KMAT application form offline?
A: 

No, the KMAT application form will be available online only on the official website of KMAT India. There is no provision of applying for the KMAT exam offline. The application process for the KMAT Karnataka exam is conducted online only and students also need to pay the application fee using online payment methods such as a credit card, debit card or internet banking. 
Hence, there is no offline communication regarding the KMAT application process.KMAT Karnataka.

Q:   Which documents are needed at the time of KMAT Karnataka registrations?

  1. Visit the official website of KMAT India
  2. The candidates need to fill the personal details such as name, date of birth, e-mail, phone number, country, etc.
  3. Candidates will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number which is to be filled on the KMAT 2023 application window
  4. After the successful registration, candidates will receive an application number and a password on the registered numbers and email IDs
  5. To fill the application form the candidates will have to login using the application number and password provided to them
  6. The candidates will have to fill in their personal details such as name, date of birth, nativity, address, etc. They also have to fill the course they are applying for and the preferred KMAT test centre

Note: Once the candidates have selected the city, no changes will be allowed. Also, if the candidate is applying for two streams, he/she will have to apply for two streams separately. Hence, two hall tickets or admit cards will be issued to that candidate.

  1. After filling in the details, candidates have to upload valid documents required and make fee payments using Credit Card/Debit Card, E-wallets, or any other online payment method

KMAT 2023 Exam Pattern

No, candidates do not have to fill a different KMAT application form if they belong to a reserved category. The KMAT application form is the same for all categories across. Students will be required to select their category during the application process. Students should ensure that they have the necessary certificates during the admission process.

KMAT 2023 Syllabus Overview

KMAT 2023 question paper will have three sections, i.e. Verbal and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The Verbal and Reading Comprehension section will cover topics like Grammar, synonyms, antonyms, para jumbles, phrases, vocabulary, etc. The Quantitative Aptitude section is all about mathematics. To excel this section, study topics like Number Systems, Ratio and Proportion, Trigonometry, Geometry, Tables, etc. The Logical Reasoning section will have topics like Puzzles, Venn Diagrams, Syllogisms, Coding and Decoding, etc. Also Read: Overall KMAT 2023 Syllabus

To prepare for KMAT 2023, it is important to make a study plan which incorporates every topic of the syllabus while giving ample time to each individual topic. Begin the KMAT preparations with important topics and understand the fundamentals and basic concepts. Once you have covered the syllabus, practice a few sample papers and mock tests. Students preparing for KMAT Karnataka 2023 exam must divide their preparation days smartly and efficiently.

No, it is not compulsory to take KMAT for joining MBA colleges in Karnataka. Nut KMAT is widely accepted by the top Bschools in Karnataka. Students can also opt for MBA entrance exams such as Karnataka PGCET, CAT, XAT, etc.

Students who have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate can apply for KMAT exam 2026. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have a minimum of 45%.

No, writing the KMAT is not compulsory for applying to MBA colleges in Karnataka. However, very few colleges offer direct admission for MBA courses. So, students should opt for MBA entrance exams such as KMAT, Karnataka PGCET, CAT, XAT, MAT, etc.

KMAT is a remote proctored test with a level of difficulty is moderate. Students can gauge difficulty by their understanding of concepts, their level of prep and dedication.
