Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) will be held on February 29-March 1 this year. Once the exam is over, there are certain things that a candidate must keep in mind. To begin with, after you come out of the exam centre, leave the premises immediately. Otherwise, you might end up conversing with fellow candidates discussing the test, making you aware of where you faltered and bringing down your confidence.

However, once you are home and have rested well and spent time relaxing, check out the detailed analysis of the overall test from reliable sources on the Internet, coaching classes and your peers. This will help you where all have you scored and where you couldn’t. Don’t feel too disheartened after realising your shortcomings but make a detailed note of errors happened while giving the exam.

Also, spend some quality time with your parents and friends who would help you unwind nicely. It is something you definitely deserve after missing out on it during your preparation phase.

Keeping realistic expectations from your eventual result is always advisable since it will not hurt you a lot if the result is not as you expected it to be. There are more good exams yet to follow such as the CET. Never let your performance in one exam affect your preparations in the other(s) in which you could have chances of scoring higher.

Over the next couple of days, be well updated with the basic concepts and the list of mistakes you committed in both the mocks as well as the final exam. This will help immensely you in not repeating them in the other exams (if you’d be giving them).

Since I assume you to have already appeared for the likes of CAT, NMAT, SNAP, IIFT, among others, you will be devoid of all the exam-related stress. This will come in handy a lot in the upcoming exams such as CET, MAT and ATMA (if applicable) wherein you could score much better.

As the upcoming MBA CET involves a slightly different exam-taking strategy as compared to TANCET, it is advised to start giving mock tests well in advance. Solving about 6-8 mocks would be an ideal strategy.

If you have put in the required efforts during your preparation, rest assured of getting a good score in TANCET. Till the results are declared, think positive about the outcome. If you are destined to get a great score in an exam, you will inevitably get it. Even if not, you are destined to get a good score in some other exam.
