TS ICET Results 2025: Performance Evaluation
TSCHE assesses the performance of test takers with the help of the TS ICET marking scheme.
- Firstly, TGCHE calculates the number of correct responses marked by the candidate as per the TS ICET final answer key.
- For each correct response, test takers get (+)1 mark.
- The outcome is the raw score of the test taker.
- With the help of raw scores, TGCHE uses the normalisation process to bring the score of all test takers on a competitive scale.
- Candidates facing a tie in their scores go through the tie-breaking process for rank allotment.

TS ICET Score Normalisation Process
TS ICET is conducted in multiple shifts across two days. Candidates might find the questions in one exam shift easier than the other. Score normalisation is the process of bringing the scores of all the candidates across shifts on a competitive scale. A specific formula aids the TS ICET score normalisation process.

The meaning of different terms in the above formula is as follows,
- SASD: Sum of Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of the section of a particular session.
- GASD: Sum of Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of all the candidates across all sessions of all sections put together
- STA: Average score of the top 0.1 per cent of the test takers in a section of a particular session.
- GTA: Average mark of the top 0.1 per cent of all the candidates across all the sessions of sections put together.

TS ICET 2025 Results: How is Rank Allotted?
After calculating the TS ICET normalised scores, TSCHE allots ranks to all the test takers. The highest scorer is allotted the first rank. The second-best scorer is given the second rank, and so on.
TS ICET Result 2025: Tie-Breaking Criteria
There can be cases when two or more candidates have an identical normalised score. In such cases, TSCHE allots rank after using its predefined tie-breaking criteria. The tie-breaking criteria for TS ICET 2025 is as follows:
- Firstly, the candidate having the highest score in Section A is prioritised while ranking.
- In case both the candidates have matching scores in Section A, the normalised score of Section B is used. The candidate with the highest Section B score is given a better rank.
- If the candidates have similar scores in sections A and B, TSCHE will use the date of birth to decide the rank of the candidates. The elder candidate is prioritised while ranking in such cases.
