The National Board of Examinations declared the result for the FMGE December session on January 19, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download the FMGE results 2025 from the official website of NBEMS at natboard.edu.in. The FMGE2025 result will contain the candidates’ roll number, marks scored, and their qualifying status. The result of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) held on January 12, 2025, has been declared and can be checked from the link given below. The authorities will release the FMGE scorecard on January 27, 2025

The notification stated individual scorecards can be downloaded after the release of results of FMGE 2025. Candidates must note that scorecards will not be sent individually. FMGE 2025 December session was conducted on January 12, 2025, in computer-based mode. NBE conducts exams for those foreign medical graduates who wish to practice or study in India. It is mandatory to qualify for the exam to register with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council(SMC) to get the license. Those who score the minimum cut-off are considered to pass the FMGE screening test. They have to score at least 50 percent marks out of 300 to qualify for the FMGE 2025 exam. NBE conducts the FMGE exam twice a year, in December and June.

Follow the steps mentioned below to check FMGE 2025 results online:

  • Visit the official website of NBE-natboard.edu.in

  • Select “FMGE” from the tabs given on this page

  • Click on “Result for FMGE June 2025" from the important announcement section

  • The result PDF will be available on the screen

  • Find your roll number in the PDF by pressing Ctrl+F keys

  • Download and save the FMGE 2025 June result

Q:   When will NBE declare FMGE June 2025 result for the session?

NBE declared FMGE 2025 June session result within a month after the conclusion of the exam. The authorities released the FMGE results 2025 on August 13, 2025. The FMGE scorecard was available for download from the official website, natboard.edu.in around a week after the declaration of the result. 

Q:   What are the passing marks for FMGE result?
A: 

To qualify for FMGE 2025 December session exam, a candidate will have to score 150 or more marks in the examination. The exact number of FMGE cutoff will remain same irresecpetive of the results of FMGE 2025.  

The passing marks will remain same for both June and December session. The FMGE cutoff don't very according to the number of candidates who appear in the exam. 

 

Q:   I did not clear the FMGE examination. Can I still download my scorecard?
A: 

Yes, you can download the FMGE scorecard even if you did not clear the examination. This will help you analyse the areas where you lost marks. The FMGE 2025 scorecard is available to download even after the declaration of the FMGE 2025 results.

What after FMGE 2025 result?

Candidates will have to download the scorecard from the official website of NBE. FMGE scorecard can be easily downloaded through registration credentials. It must be noted that only those who qualify for the exam will be able to download the scorecard. NBE will issue FMGE 2025 Pass Certificates to those who qualify for the screening test. Upon presentation of this certificate at the MCI, they will be issued the registration certificates and will be eligible to practice in India.

The FMGE cutoff is released once the FMGE results are released. Once the FMGE cutoff is out, those who beat the cutoff list will be called for the counselling process. Students must score a minimum of 150 out of 300 to be able to beat the cutoff.

The FMGE exam has 300 MCQs worth 300 marks. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam is divided into two sections, Part A and Part B; each section is of 2 and a half hours. To pass, one must score 150 out of 300.

There is currently no limit on total number of attempts for FMGE. You can appear for as many sessions as needed. Very soon, National Exit Test (NExT) will replace FMGE exam. It may introduce new regulations regarding attempt limits once implemented. As of now, no limit for re-attempts.

FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) 2026 is a compulsory licensing test conducted by the NBEMS. It is for Indian/OCI citizens who obtained their medical degree (MBBS) from outside India. Passing this 300-mark screening test is mandatory to practice medicine in India.
