How to prepare for NEET PG 2026 exam with a job?

Finding a mentor

NEET PG 2026 preparation can be a whole lot easier if you find a mentor for yourself. Seek help from anyone who has cleared the examination before you. You can also ask for advice from one of your college professors. One important thing to remember while choosing a mentor is that you must trust this person’s advice. The mentor-mentee relationship majorly works on trust and belief. If you do not trust your mentor, you will not abide by their advice.

Things that you need to discuss with your mentor:

  • Your working hours and level of commitment towards your work
  • The time that you get apart from work
  • Your strengths and weaknesses (strong/weak subjects)
  • Your performance in the professional examinations during MBBS

A time-table

Discussing all the above will help you prepare an effective schedule for NEET PG 2026 preparation. To prepare for NEET PG 2026 exam with a job, you must stick to the time table. Only then you will be able to dedicate sufficient time for your preparation. There are three important factors that must be considered while preparing a time table, they are:

  • Self-study
  • Revision
  • Coaching
  • Mock-tests

Self-study

A crucial part of your preparation is the time when you read and revise on your own. Self-study should comprise at least 60% of the total time that you spend studying each day. Self-study would also include the time that you spend on revision every day.

Coaching only on weekends

To get the most out of the coaching institutes, join weekend classes. One of the many benefits of joining weekend coaching is that you will not be a rush to go anywhere. This will help you focus better in the classes or tests. Also, you will be able to spare time for doubt-clearing sessions and discuss the topics that you are finding difficult. Weekend coaching classes will also ensure that you have enough time for self-study during the weekdays.

Practice papers and mock tests

Another important part of the preparation phase is solving NEET PG 2026 mock tests and sample papers. You have to dedicate sufficient time for these in while preparing the time table. You must also ensure that you spare some time for the analysis of the results of these mock tests.

Plan ahead for the revision

The last tip to prepare for NEET PG 2026 with a job is to be regular for work during the preparation phase. Saving on all the unnecessary leaves will give you extra days before the examination. You can avail of these extra leaves just before the examination and spend this time on revision. This will also help you stay focused during the last few days of your preparation.
