When Will You Release NEET 2021 Application Forms? Students Ask NTA

There is hardly a month left for NEET 2021, which is officially scheduled to be conducted on August 1. Given the current scenario, where the NEET application form and information brochure is yet to be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the conducting body of the exam, the chances of the exam getting delayed are evident. The silence of the officials is inducing anxiety and panic among the students. They are not only worried about the increasing delay in the application process, which generally lasts from 45 days to 60 days but there is also still no clarity on the exam date as well. Moreover, the delay in conducting the NEET exam will impact the admission cycle directly.

The date of NEET 2021 was announced in March and the official website, neet.nta.nic.in was launched on June 2. There was no official announcement or information after this, leaving the NEET 2021 aspirants in further dilemma. Meanwhile, the CBSE Class 12 Board exams were cancelled. But even after this, there has been no information about the tentative schedule of releasing the NEET 2021 application for or other events of the exam such as the release of the NEET admit card, exam, releasing NEET answer keys and NEET results.

Even though the Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ addressed the students on CBSE Class 12 Board exam on June 25, he did not state anything on NEET 2021 or JEE Main, the engineering exam which has also been postponed until further notice.

Students Demand Postponement of Exam

Now that it is apparent that NEET 2021 will be postponed since it is logistically not possible to complete the application process, application correction and releasing the admit card within a span of a month, it is high time that the official announcement is made on this. The lack of communication from the officials is impacting the NEET aspirants' preparation as well.

“No update on NEET 2021 exam date yet. It’s been a month of demanding the postponement of the NEET 2021 exam but no one is listening to the voice of students. Dr R P Nishank Sir please postpone NEET 2021 exam,” tweeted a student.

Another student wrote, “We students are the power of the nation, those power should be conserved for the country’s sake. Anxiety and tension are diminishing their power. Dr RP Nishank Sir please postpone NEET 2021 exam and give the date of application.”

Other stakeholders are also voicing their opinion on NEET 2021 should get postponed and demanded the Ministries and NTA to reveal the dates soon.

Students Resort to Humour Amid Stress

Some of the NEET aspirants have resorted to a humorous approach to draw the attention of the officials and stakeholders. Even though a fun approach, the main question asked by the students is when will the NEET 2021 application forms be released and clarity on the date of the exam. Sample these:

Now with June on the verge of ending, it is expected that NTA will release the NEET 2021 application form and notification on the important exam events in July. Till the announcement, NEET 2021 aspirants should keep their focus on and prepare well for the exam.

No, you cannot join AIIMS Rishikesh directly. Students have to appear for the NEET entrance examination and then for the NEET counselling process to be eligible for a seat at this institute.

No, NEET is not necessary to get into clinical psychology colleges in India. There are other exams like GATE, which again is not required for many colleges offering the same.

Yes, appearing for NEET-UG is a mandatory eligibility criterion for BPT admissions across all quotas. While the 85% State Quota is filled through the DMER Maharashtra merit list based on NEET scores, the 15% Institutional Quota is also filled based on your NEET-UG performance for that year. There is
