IPMAT admit card 2026 is expected to be released in the last week of April 2026, few days before the IPMAT exam date. Candidates who successfully register for the exam before the last date of IPM registration will be able to download the IPMAT Indore 2026 admit card. Candidates can download their IPMAT hall ticket by entering login details i.e. Application Number/User ID and Password in the login window. It is an important document to be carried to the IPMAT exam centre along with a valid Photo ID proof for verification. 

Applicants can check the exam centre details, exam date, time, etc., in the IPMAT Indore 2026 admit card. Q:   Will I get a hard copy of the IPMAT hall ticket?
A: 

No, candidates can only download the IPMAT admit card online from the website of IIM Indore. Once the candidates have successfully registered for the IPMAT exam, they will be allowwed to download the IPMAT admit card once released. To download the IPMAT hall ticket, candidates need to use their login credentails which were generated during the registration process. 

Candidatss will not be given a hard copy by post or otherwise of the IPMAT hall ticket.

IPMAT 2026 admit card will likely be released in the third week of April 2026. To download:

  1. Go to official website of IIM Indore
  2. Click on the download IPMAT admit card/ hall ticket button on the admission page of IPM
  3. Enter the application number and password
  4. Click on Submit button
  5. Click on the link to download the admit card and download the same.

 Take a print out of the IPMAT admit card as this is an important document which is to be carried to the IPMAT exam centre.

Candidates will be able to download the IPMAT admit card until the examination day. The last date to download the IPMAT hall ticket is mentioned in the notification. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the IPMAT application form. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre and candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre without the admit card. Along with the admit card candidates should carry the following items:

  1. Original Photo ID proof issued by the Government of India - Original Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voters Card/Permanent Driving License Ration Card and Learners Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
  2. One clear black and white photocopy of ID proof
  3. Two clear coloured copies of the IPMAT admit card along with one original recent passport-size photo affixed on each of them

Q:   Can I change my exam centre after issuance of IPMAT admit card?
A: 
No, one cannot change the exam centre after IPMAT admit card has been issued. One cannot take the exam at any other centre other than the one mentioned in their admit card, either. So make an informed decision at time of selecting the test city in the IPMAT application form. 
Q:   What is the IPMAT exam duration and slot?
A: 

The IPMAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the IPMAT exam. IPMAT exam also has a sectional time limit of 40 minutes per section. The candidates need to solve the question paper in 120 minutes and this means that the candidates will have approximately two minutes to solve each question. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 40 minutes get over, the screen will automatically redirect to the next section. The test will end automatically once 120 minutes of the test are over. The IPMAT exam is conducted in the afternoon shift. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the IPMAT exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the examination in order to complete the frisking formalities at the entry gate. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre 15 minutes before the exam time.

IPMAT 2026: Exam Day Instructions

Check out the exam day instructions below before appearing for the IPMAT Indore 2026 exam:

  • Applicants are advised to report to their allotted exam centre for IPMAT 2026 at least an hour before the exam timing.

  • Students who are new to the location must make sure that they check the exam centre a day before the exam to avoid last day hassle.

  • They must also ensure that they carry their IPMAT 2026 admit cards to the exam hall. Entry will not be allowed to candidates found without admit cards.

  • Do not carry any electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, etc. 
  • No food items will be permitted inside the exam hall.
  • Do not indulge in unfair means or the candidate will be barred from taking the exam.

Q:   What all items can I carry to the IPMAT exam centre?
A: 

Every candidate must carry a simple blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the IPMAT exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, IPMAT candidates are required to carry drinking water, hand sanitizer, face mask and gloves along with them. They have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. They also must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the IPMAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.

Q:   Can a 17 year old give the IPMAT exam?
A: 

Yes, a 17 year old can give the IPMAT exam. The maximum age limit to be eligible to appear for the IPMAT Indore exam is 20 years as on July 31, of the given year. There is a relaxation in the age limit for the reserved category students. The candidates belonging to the General or NC-OBC category must be a maximum of 20 years and the students belonging to other reserved categories can be a maximum of 22 years in the admission year. 

Including this, the students should also fulfil the academic IPMAT eligibility criteria to be able to take the IPMAT exam and IPM Admissions.
