NIMCET 2026 Counselling
The NIMCET counselling 2026 will be an online process and will be conducted after the NIMCET results have been announced. Please check the process for NIMCET counselling for reference.
- Register yourself for the counselling process by filling your personal details, as prompted.
- Fill in your choice of colleges in the order of preference. Candidates are advised to select as many choices as possible for a higher chance of allotment into the preferred colleges.
- Pay INR 1000 as the counselling fee, online through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted.
- NIMCET 2026 Admit Card and Rank Card
- 10th and 12th Marks Sheets and Passing Certificates
- Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Residence and Medical Certificates
- Four recent passport-size photographs

The exam-conducting body finalises the counselling schedule and they themselves announced the NIMCET 2025 counselling dates. You would need to register online and participate in the NIMCET counselling process by paying the fee and filling out your choices. Qualified candidates eligible to participate in the counselling will be declared qualified based on their NIMCET results. Candidates can fill in as many choices in the order of preference as they wish to from the list of available choices.
Candidates are permitted, if they so desire, to change or re-order their choices, delete earlier choices and add new choices any number of times until they lock their final choices. Choices should be positively locked before last date & time failing which last saved choices will be considered for allotment. Choices submitted in the first round of counselling will be processed up to third round.

The instruction page will provide all the important information about eligibility criteria, application fee, application form submission process, payment procedures, etc. Additionally, the candidate must read the instructions carefully and proceed only after doing so.

No. You cannot manually convert CGPA to percentage or vice-versa to qualify. If your university uses a 10-point scale, a 6.5 CGPA is the minimum requirement for General/OBC candidates.

Here is how you can determine if your NIMCET score is good -

| 360+ | Top 100 | Excellent: You can likely pick any top NIT you want, like the popular ones in Trichy or Warangal. |
| 300 - 359 | 101 - 500 | Very Good: You have a high chance of getting into a strong NIT. |
| 240 - 299 | 501 - 1500 | Good Goal: You can likely secure a spot in a mid-tier NIT. |
| Below 120 | Low Chances | Difficult: Getting a seat at any NIT is very unlikely with this score. |

The NIMCET application edit window usually opens 2-3 days after the last day of application. Historically, it opens for 2 days within which applicants can make any edits in their application if required. Please note that no requests in this regard shall be entertained thereafter.
