The Consortium of NLUs are likely to begin the CLAT Application Process 2027 in June. Candidates who wish to apply for CLAT Exam can visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Aspirants must make sure that they submit the CLAT 2027 Application Form on or before the last date. Candidates must check the CLAT Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam.  

Only those candidates who will complete the registration process on time will be issued the CLAT Hall Ticket. All the important information related to CLAT Exam will be published in CLAT Notification. Read further to know more about the CLAT 2027 application process, eligibility criteria, fee payment, and other details required below.

Q:   What is the last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2027?
A: 

The Consortium has not announced the last date to submit the CLAT Application Form yet. However, once the application process starts it mostly remain opens for three months. This gives candidates sufficient time to complete it and submit. 

Q:   What is CLAT 2027 date?
A: 

The CLAT exam will be conducted in December 2026. The exam timing will be 2 pm to 4 pm. The consortium has not announced the CLAT Exam Dates yet.

Q:   Can I fill CLAT Application Form through mobile phone?
A: 

See, it doesn't matter that you fill the form through laptop or phone. What matters is you fill the form. Yes, you should have good network connection and internet speed. It should not happen that you have filled the form and when you reach the last step you loose the connection. So what is important is network connection not the phone or laptop to fill the application form. 

Q:   If I forget my CLAT Login ID or password. How should I fill the application form?
A: 

You don't have to worry. In case you have forgotten your ID and password, which is pretty much normal. You can go and click on the forgot password tab in the registration window. You will receive the mail and then you have to reset your password. Once day you will be able to login.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2027

Before you begin filling up the CLAT Application Form it is important to know the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the CLAT 2027 eligibility criteria below 

UG CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2027 can check the eligibility below: 

  • Candidates must try and score the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
  • Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
  • Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2027 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2027 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the
  • qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission"

PG CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT PG 2027 can check the eligibility below:

  • An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
  • Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in April/May 2027 are also eligible to apply.

CLAT 2027 Application Fee

Candidates must note that their form will not be considered submitted if they have not paid the CLAT 2027 registration fee online. It must be noted that once the CLAT Registration Window 2027 is closed, the candidates won't be able to fill CLAT 2027 Application form and pay the CLAT Application Fee 2027.

Q:   I forgot to submit CLAT Application Fees. What should I do?
A: 

Even with all the right documents, if you have not paid the application fee, your application form will be rejected. Since the application process cannot complete without submiting the fees. Once the window closes you won't be able to pay the fees or re fill the form. 

Q:   How will I know if I am eligible to appear in CLAT exam or not?
A: 

In order to know if you are eligible or not check the official notification and the eligibility criteria. There is no other way to check the the eligibility criteria.  Do not fill the form without checking the eligibility criteria.

How to apply for CLAT Exam 2027?

The registration process for CLAT 2027 for both the UG and PG candidates is online. Candidates can follow process mentioned below to fill in the CLAT 2027 Application Form-

Online Registration:

  • Click on the registration link - consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • You will be redirected to a registration window
  • Click on the "Register" button
  • A registration form will open where you will have to enter registration details like name, mobile number, email id. Also, select and confirm a password for the candidate account.

Filling CLAT Application Form 2027

To access the application form, candidates have to log in to the account using your phone number and password. Once you log in, you will see the following screen.    

Proceed to fill out the form.

  • Select the program of study: Candidates have to select the Under Graduate (UG) 5-Year LLB Course or Post Graduate (PG) 1-Year LLM Course. Then press the "Apply for CLAT 2027" button.
  • CLAT 2027 application form - Personal details:

In this section, candidates have to upload a photograph and their signature in jpeg/png format. Other details that have to be entered include the date of birth, mother's and father's name, gender, nationality, and All India Category under which admission is sought (SC/ST, OBC, or General). Reserved category, PwD, and BPL candidates need to upload the relevant certificate. Finally, mention the domicile state.

  • Enter Communication Details: In this section, candidates have to enter their present and permanent address. 
  • Education Details: Candidates have to select the qualifying exam from the drop-down menu, enter the name of the board (or university), appearing/appeared or passed, year and month of passing, and percentage. 
  • Enter Test Centre Preferences - In this section they have to select three exam centers for CLAT 2027 exam. Select Test Center Preference – 1 for the test center with the first preference. Use Test Center Preference – 3 for the least preferred exam center. The CLAT 2027 exam will be conducted in more than 80 CLAT test centers.

Enter Reservation Criteria

Candidates in this section can select categories individually for each NLU. Candidates who want to apply under additional categories can use this section. Candidates are advised to check CLAT Reservation Criteria and intake of seats reserved at all NLUs before filling CLAT application form. Candidates must note that except NLU Jodhpur, all other NLUs are offering domicile reservations. Candidates also have to upload a domicile certificate in PDF format, issued by a competent authority. Submission of the Application Form

Candidates have to ensure that the various sections of the CLAT application form are duly and correctly filled. Note that all the details will be checked at the time of counseling registration, and any mismatch can lead to disqualification. Once you are satisfied that the application is complete in all respects - 

  • Agree to the declaration form
  • Select the Third Party Communication Details Agreement and Give your consent
  • Submit the form.

Once you agree to the agreement, give your consent and submit the application form, the following page will appear.

Pay CLAT 2027 Registration Fee

After submitting the application form, the candidate have to pay the application or exam fee, which is category-specific. Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode using debit card/credit card/net banking. The mode of application fee payment is online.

Candidates have to check the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. Candidates can select their course i.e. 5-year LLB or one-year LLM programs while registering for the exam. To fill out the form, the candidate has to get registered, fill in personal, academic, and contact details, upload documents and pay the fee. CLAT exam fee 2027 was INR 4,000 for General and INR 3,500 for SC, ST, and BPL categories.

No, there is no such provision given by the Consortium to fill out the application form offline. Candidates must complete filling the CLAT Application Form 2027 on or before the last date. You can only fill out the application form online. The form will be considered submitted only if you pay the fees.

The Consortium of NLUs will open the CLAT Application Correction Window 2027 once the registration process is over. This will help candidates to edit their CLAT 2027 Application Form before finally submitting it. Candidates can follow the steps to edit CLAT application 2027 as under:

The 24 participating NLUs will accept only CLAT 2027 scores for admission to their UG and PG courses for the upcoming academic session. The program-wise seat intake is as follows.

  • One-year LLM - 1,217 seats

Note: The above seat matrix doesn't include supernumerary, extra, NRI, and sponsored seats.
