CLAT 2027 Photo and Signature Specifications: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is the application processing and exam conducting body for CLAT 2027. It prescribes the instructions to fill the CLAT application form and pay the fee as prescribed in the instructions. The Consortium also provides the size of the photograph and signature to be uploaded with the CLAT form.

While filling the online application form, the candidates must upload all documents such as a passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format only. Candidates should follow CLAT photo size, signature dimensions and uploading guidelines. If the photograph and signature does not follow the size and format given in the instructions, their CLAT application can be cancelled.

Guidelines Regarding Postcard Size Photo for CLAT 2027

The consortium releases guidelines regarding photo upload. Let us take a look at the details here

  • A recent colour photograph with name and date.
  • The background must be either white or light colour.
  • The face of the individual must be clear and visible.
  • The image should be professional-looking.
  • There should not be red-eye in the photo.
  • If you wear glasses, ensure that there are no reflections.

Solving mock test helps candidates to understand the exam pattern and also the sections they are lagging behind. With this they can rework on those section where they are scoring low. CLAT mock test also helps candidates to understand the time based prepration to solve the question paper on exam day. 

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Signature 

Before filling out the application for the CLAT exam 2027, candidates are advised to check eligibility criteria for CLAT. They can follow the guidelines given below

  • Candidates must sign on white paper with a black ink pen.
  • A signature should be made by the candidate and not by any other person.
  • Use small letters in the signature after a capital first letter 
  • Candidates must do their signature with their running hand.
  • Signature on CLAT Admit Card and attendance sheet should match.
  • Exam Day signature should also match the signature uploaded in the online form. 
  • Consortium allows a maximum signature size of 100 KB. However, candidates are recommended to keep CLAT signature in 10–20 KB size range.
  • The recommended dimensions of CLAT signature should be approximately 140 × 60 pixels
  • Students need to upload the signature in jpg / jpeg format.
  • Candidates must ensure their signature on academic and personal documents is similar to the signature used in the CLAT exam process.

Documents Needed to fill CLAT Application Form 2027

Candidates must keep the following items ready

  • A working email ID
  • Mobile number
  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets
  • ID and address proof
  • Scanned photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Category certificate
  • Relevant certificate issued by competent authority (if applying under PwD/ BPL category)

 How to Scan CLAT Photo & Signature?

Candidates can go through the instructions given below for a proper scan of CLAT application documents. 

  • Scanner should be set to a minimum of 200 dots per inch
  • Set colour as True
  • Scan Photo & Signature as per the format
  • Crop image
  • Save file in JPEG format

  • Avoid taking pictures from smartphones
  • Don't take in dark backgrounds
  • Dark glasses are not allowed

Candidates can make unlimited changes to their CLAT photo and signature before the final submission. Students can modify these documents from their dashboard. After CLAT form is submitted, uploads can be changed only during the application correction window. The Consortium activates the correction window after CLAT registration closes. CLAT application fee is not refunded if a form is rejected for non-compliant documents. Candidates need to submit a fresh application (with fresh payment) in such cases. It is therefore recommended to complete CLAT exam registration early so that you get ample time to fix mistakes.

Yes, the Consortium removed two Test Cities from the CLAT 2027.  The removed test cities are Vellore and Tiruvarur. CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6.

Candidates are required to pay the CLAT Registration/Form fee as per their category. The Consortium prescribed the category-wise form fee. Without submitting the CLAT form fee, the registration will not be completed.

No, candidates who fulfill OP Jindal Global University BBA LLB (hons) eligibility criteria cannot apply with a CLAT-UG score. This institute only accepts admission based on LNAT-UK exam. No other entrance exams are accepted during admissions to this course.
