No, Students who want to appear & qualify FMGE exam must have a MBBS degree. FMGE exam is conducted for the students who completed their MBBS degree from abroad and they want to practise in India. Though there are certain countries like UK, USA, Austraila, Canada & New Zeland, students passed from these countries don't need to appear in FMGE exam to practise in India.
FMGE pass certificate are issued offline. Those who qualified FMGE June session 2026 will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate.
The authorities will issue FMGE certificates in offline mode only. Students are advised to download the certificate from the official website. The official dates for FMGE certificates for June session are yet to be out and it will be updated once it is out.

FMGE 2025 Registration: Documents Required
Check the list of documents required to complete the FMGE 2026 registration process. Students must download and carry the hall ticket to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID proof. The FMGE 2026 registration dates for students to apply online for the exam are expected to be the first week of December 2026 for the December session exam.
No, candidates only have to upload the scanned copies of the required documents with the FMGE 2026 registration form. Physical verification of the documents will be carried out when the candidates report for the collection of Pass Certificates. Pass certificates will be provided to candidates who qualify for the exam by scoring the minimum cut-off. Candidates have to score at least 50 per cent marks to qualify for the exam.

FMGE Registration 2026: Correction Window
NBE gives the applicants of FMGE 2026 a chance to correct the mistakes in their applications after their final submission. The correction window for FMGE 2026 registration is used to upload the deficient documents (if any). Candidates must use this opportunity wisely and furnish the correct details to NBE. The FMGE application correction window will be available for 4 days.
They must note that no new FMGE registration is accepted after the registration is over. This facility was available only to those who completed the registration process before the last date for submission of the same.

There is currently no limit on total number of attempts for FMGE. You can appear for as many sessions as needed. Very soon, National Exit Test (NExT) will replace FMGE exam. It may introduce new regulations regarding attempt limits once implemented. As of now, no limit for re-attempts.
