FMGE 2026 June session will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The FMGE exam for the June session is going to be held on June 28, 2026. It will be a computer‑based exam and will take place at different exam centres.
The registration process for the FMGE 2026 June Session exam  may start in April 2026. Students will need to fill in their personal details, upload required documents and photos, and pay the application fee online. The application fee is mandatory and cannot be refunded.
NBEMS may open an edit window in May 2026, for students can correct details like name, date of birth, proof of citizenship, eligibility certificate, and medical degree certificate. All changes must be made on the official website natboard.edu.in within the given time. The admit card for FMGE 2026 June is expected to be released in mid‑June 2026

Q:   Can I apply for the FMGE exam without having MBBS degree?
A: 

No, Students who want to appear & qualify FMGE exam must have a MBBS degree. FMGE exam is conducted for the students who completed their MBBS degree from abroad and they want to practise in India. Though there are certain countries like UK, USA, Austraila, Canada & New Zeland, students passed from these countries don't need to appear in FMGE exam to practise in India. 

Q:   Will FMGE pass certificate be issued online or offline?
A: 

FMGE pass certificate are issued offline. Those who qualified FMGE June session 2026 will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate. 

The authorities will issue FMGE certificates in offline mode only. Students are advised to download the certificate from the official website. The official dates for FMGE certificates for June session are yet to be out and it will be updated once it is out. 

Q:   Will FMGE exam held in offline mode?
A: 

No. FMGE 2026 exam will be held in computer-based mode. Each candidate will be provided a separate desktop at exam centre. Questions will have to be answered on screen. Registrations will be open on official website to submit application form for exam.

FMGE 2025 Registration: Documents Required

Check the list of documents required to complete the FMGE 2026 registration process. Students must download and carry the hall ticket to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID proof. Without the admit card, students will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. On the exam day, students should reach the exam centre on time as per their schedule. Q:   What will be the last date to register for FMGE 2026 exam?
A: 

The FMGE 2026 registration dates for students to apply online for the exam are expected to be the first week of December 2026 for the December session exam. 

Q:   Do I need to send a hard copy of my documents for verification for FMGE exam?
A: 

No, candidates only have to upload the scanned copies of the required documents with the FMGE 2026 registration form. Physical verification of the documents will be carried out when the candidates report for the collection of Pass Certificates. Pass certificates will be provided to candidates who qualify for the exam by scoring the minimum cut-off. Candidates have to score at least 50 per cent marks to qualify for the exam.

Candidates need a valid email ID and mobile number for FMGE registration. Apart from email ID and mobile number, candidates have to provide his/her name, date of birth, nationality, gender for registration. After successful registration, a login ID and password is generate.

FMGE Registration 2026: Correction Window

NBE gives the applicants of FMGE 2026 a chance to correct the mistakes in their applications after their final submission. The correction window for FMGE 2026 registration is used to upload the deficient documents (if any). Candidates must use this opportunity wisely and furnish the correct details to NBE. The FMGE application correction window will be available for 4 days

They must note that no new FMGE registration is accepted after the registration is over. This facility was available only to those who completed the registration process before the last date for submission of the same.

Q:   What is the maximum time frame to complete MBBS degree to be eligible for FMGE exam?
A: 

Candidates are advised to complete their MBBS degree programme by October 31. and must submit a proof of passing the same while applying for the FMGE exam. 

If any applicants fail to substantiate their claim of having passed the primary medical qualification by the above mentioned prescribed cut off date with supportive documents, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

Yes, NBE provides candidates with an opportunity to correct details in the FMGE application form. According to the schedule, the correction facility for FMGE 2026 will start after the application process concludes.   1. Go to the official portal of natboard.edu.in.
  2. Choose “FMGE” and then under the links section.
  3. Click on “New Registration”
  4. Read the instructions and select “Close”
  5. Enter the following information
    • Student’s name (Has to be entered twice)
    • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
    • Gender (Male/Female/Transgender)

Personal details like parents' names, personal information, address, 10+2 or equivalent exam information, and BDS/Primary Dental Qualification details and even examination centre.

Q:   Can your FMGE application form get rejected?
A: 

NBE informs the candidates via emails stating the changes required in the documents uploaded at the time of filling the application form. As per the guideline of NBEMS, some candidates fail to upload their photographs, signatures, and/or thumb impressions as per the prescribed Image Upload Instructions. Such candidates are required to rectify the image (s) in their application form during the selective and final edit window. In case the candidate fails to make requisitie changes, then his/her FMGE application form is subject to rejection or the candidates will not be issued admit card for appearing in the exam. 

Q:   When will FMGE 2026 application form be released?
A: 

The authorities will provide official dates of release of the application form for the June Session. The FMGE 2026 application form will be out in the last week of April 2026. Students need to submit an online application form in online mode only from the official portal. 

Q:   What is size of photograph which needs to be uploaded while doing FMGE registration?
A: 

While filling the FMGE 2026 application form students need to ensure that photograph should be coloured and without background. It should have white background and candidate's name & date should be mentioned on it. 

The ideal size of image which needs to be uploaded must be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The maximum size for the image is 80 KB and acceptable format should be of .JPG/.JPEG/.IMAGE.

No, changing the email ID after FMGE registration is not permitted. Candidates are thus advised to register using a valid and active email ID only. NBE will open the FMGE 2026 correction window, where incorrect details can be modified on the official website. Details that cannot be edited using the FMGE correction windows are as follows:

Online registration is mandatory to submit FMGE application form. Candidates have to pay INR 7,080 as exam fee to submit the application form. Without fee, application form will not be accepted by NBE. FMGE admit card is issue to candidates who apply successfully in the given deadline.

Q:   Is there any concession for reserved category candidates in the FMGE registration fee?
A: 

No, there is no concession in fee for reserved category candidates. Applicants for FMGE 2026 need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 6,195 irrespective of their category. Registration is mandatory to submit the FMGE application form online. Candidates have to submit applicants name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, Email ID etc. as part of registration. 

Q:   Can I fill out the application form for FMGE offline?
A: 

No, FMGE registration is an online process. Those who wish to apply for this examination have to fill out the application form in online mode only. Offline or any other mode of application will be rejected for the FMGE exam. Yes, 3 months is enough if you study properly for the FMGE exam. Focus on difficult topics and revise important topics again and again. Practice MCQs every day and give mock tests regularly to see your mistakes.

The most scoring subjects in FMGE are Medicine, Surgery, OBG, and Community Medicine. These four subjects give more than 120 marks. Many questions come from these subjects in every exam. If you prepare these well, you can easily pass FMGE

The FMGE cutoff is released once the FMGE results are released. Once the FMGE cutoff is out, those who beat the cutoff list will be called for the counselling process. Students must score a minimum of 150 out of 300 to be able to beat the cutoff.

The FMGE exam has 300 MCQs worth 300 marks. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam is divided into two sections, Part A and Part B; each section is of 2 and a half hours. To pass, one must score 150 out of 300.

There is currently no limit on total number of attempts for FMGE. You can appear for as many sessions as needed. Very soon, National Exit Test (NExT) will replace FMGE exam. It may introduce new regulations regarding attempt limits once implemented. As of now, no limit for re-attempts.
