NEET PG 2025 Date Announced: Exam on June 15 in Two Shifts, Sparks Concerns

Aspirants worry about fairness in NEET PG 2025 two-shift exam format amid ongoing NEET PG 2024 counselling delays.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 will be conducted on June 15, 2025, in two shifts. The information bulletin and other exam-related details will be made available on the NBEMS website in due course.
The NBEMS Notice reads: “National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the NEET-PG 2025 on 15th June 2025 on a Computer Based Platform in Two Shifts.”
Concerns Over NEET PG 2025 Two-Shift Exam
The decision to conduct NEET PG in multiple shifts has sparked concerns among medical aspirants. Many fear that variations in difficulty levels between the two shifts could impact their scores, affecting merit rankings and admissions. This comes amid ongoing discussions about exam standardization, with students already voicing worries on social media.
Delays in NEET PG 2024 Counselling Add to Anxiety
The announcement follows months of uncertainty surrounding NEET PG 2024, which faced multiple reschedulings. Initially planned for July 7, 2024, the exam was abruptly preponed to June 23 before being cancelled just 10 hours before the scheduled start. It was eventually conducted on August 11, 2024, and even now, the counselling process remains incomplete. The delay has raised concerns that similar disruptions could affect NEET PG 2025.
Previous Statements on NEET PG 2025
Earlier, the National Medical Commission (NMC) had indicated in a December 5, 2024, letter that NEET PG 2025 would be held as a computer-based test for admissions to MD/MS courses in the 2025-26 academic session. While the tentative date of June 15 had been mentioned, the confirmation of a two-shift format has now become a contentious issue among candidates.
Calls for Standardization and Legal Intervention
Aspirants are already discussing potential legal challenges, with many calling for authorities to ensure fairness in the two-shift examination. Given past instances where the Supreme Court intervened in exam-related matters, some candidates have suggested approaching the judiciary early, fearing last-minute complications.
NEET PG 2025 Registration Process
Once registration opens, candidates must apply via nbe.edu.in by:
Submitting basic details to generate login credentials.
Filling out the NEET PG 2025 application form and paying the required fee.
Downloading the admit card after meeting eligibility criteria.
With mounting concerns over fairness and delays, aspirants await further clarification from NBEMS regarding the conduct of NEET PG 2025 in two shifts.
