
PGIMER BSc Nursing 2025 Counselling dates have been released through the official notification on the official website on August 9, 2025, along with the result. The counselling will be conducted from August 11, 2025, to August 14, 2025. Candidates are required to be present for the counselling at NINE Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The document verification took place on the same day from 9:00 AM.

The counselling of PGIMER Nursing 2025 will be held via offline mode. Candidates who successfully score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the counselling round based on PGIMER BSc Nursing result 2025.
The PGIMER BSc Round-1 counselling will begin on August 11, 2025. The schedule and other related guidelines for the counselling process have been updated on this page. The shortlisted candidates have to submit the printout of the online application form and photocopies of mark sheets of metric, Class 12, GNM, registration certificate, reservation certificate etc. by the specified date in the office of the Principal, National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Candidates can also send their documents through e-mail. These documents are essentially required for scrutiny of the application, failing which the candidature of the candidates will be cancelled.
Candidates with the minimum percentile for the BSc nursing programme is 98.7938 for the General category, above 94.8229 for SC candidates, above 91.2454 for ST candidates, above 98.0394 for OBC category, and above 57.5782 for PwBD (UR) and 44.1780 (Reserved) category candidates. For Foreign Nationals, the cutoff percentile is 76.2083.
PGIMER BSc Nursing counselling will start from August 11, 2025 after the announcement of the result. All the intimation related to the counselling process is shared at the official website, pgimer.edu.in. Candidates who successfully score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the counselling round. All processes such as document verification and fee payment will be done at the institute itself by the counselling conducting committee.
The counselling for PGIMER BSc Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) programme is being conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Candidates are required to be present for the counselling process and formalities at the pre-mentioned time and location. There will tentatively be four rounds of counselling. The round-1 counselling concluded in September 2024 first week. Important Instructions while appearing in PGIMER Nursing Counselling
1. The seats in PGIMER BSc Nursing will be filled strictly based on merit.
2. All the qualified candidates have to be present in person during counselling.
3. The qualified applicants have to visit at auditorium of National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER, Chandigarh for document verification.
4. Applicants need to bring their original documents as well as one set of photocopy.
5. Candidates of B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) had to be seated in the auditorium by 8:00 A.M. positively on 13.08.2024 for document verification and by 10:00 AM on 14.08.2024 for counseling.
6. Selected candidates need to pay the fee etc. through the online mode (through debit / credit card only) / Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque on the spot, failing which her / his selection will be treated as cancelled and seat will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.
The Demand draft (DD) / banker cheque (purchased / issued from Bank and not from the personal cheque book) should be in favour of “Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh” as per amount (two separate DDs/ Banker’s cheque) mentioned below:-

2nd Draft/Banker’s Cheque - on account of course fee INR 5,000/- on account of security

PGIMER Nursing 2025 Counselling Rounds
PGIMER Nursing 2025 counselling will be concluded in four rounds depending upon the availability of the seats. Details about the counselling rounds are mentioned below:
- First Counselling: As many as eight times the number of total seats available in each category, candidates will be called that is for each seat eight candidates will be invited for counselling. In case, if any candidate does not choose any of the available seats, he/she can attend the next round of counselling.
- Second Counselling: If any vacant seat is left after the first counselling, the conducting body will organize the second counselling round. Candidates who did not choose the respective seat will be eligible to attend the second round.
- Third Counselling: In continuation to the first and second counselling, if any seats are left vacant, the third counselling round will be organized
- Open Counselling: To conclude the counselling process, the conducting body will organize open counselling to fill up all the vacant seats (if any). The open counselling round will be based on the merit rank of the participating candidates.
Documents Required for the PGIMER Nursing 2025 Counselling
The candidate is required to carry a set of documents along with them on the day of Counselling. They have to bring a set of self-attested documents along with the originals for verification on the day of PGIMER nursing 2025 counselling. Below is the list of documents required for the counselling:
- Original copy of the admit card with sign and seal of the Invigilator
- Merit list copy mentioning the rank of the candidate
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or Class 10 Certificate).
- Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination (class 12)
- Class 12 mark sheet
- Character and Conduct Certificate from the Principal of the School/Institute last attended
- In case of OBC/ SC/ ST certificate issued within the last six months, from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar
- OBC/SC/ST category candidates should provide their original proof of certificate to claim a reservation
- Transfer Certificate from the Principal of the School/Institution last attended
- Migration Certificate from the School
- In the case of Punjab residents, proof of residence or the domicile is required

PGIMER BSc Nursing Course Fee 2025
Candidates who get shortlisted in the PGIMER nursing counselling need to deposit the course fee in the form of demand-draft / banker’s cheque only. Candidates would be required to bring two bank drafts / banker’s cheque amounting to the fee amount mentioned below, In favour of the “Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh” on the date of counselling.

The institute has not announced the fees for the AY 2025-26. When PGIMER will announce the fee, students will be able to pay it using debit or credit card. Last year, the application fee for this course was INR 1,500 for the general and OBC categories and INR 1,200 for the SC/ST category.
