The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June session 2026 schedule subject-wise on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. As per the schedule released the UGC NET 2026 History subject exam will be conducted on June 25 in the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. The UGC NET application dates were April 29 to May 24. The NTA will conduct the UGC NET 2026 exam for the June session at various centres across the country from June 22 to June 30 for 87 subjects. The NTA UGC NET exam will be conducted on Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The UGC NET exam has two papers namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of an exam is three hours. Paper 1 is common for all the candidates and Paper 2 is subject-specific. In Paper 1, total questions asked are 50 and in Paper 2, total questions asked are 100. Questions asked in the form of MCQs. Paper 1 is of 100 marks and Paper 2 is of 200 marks.

No. Once the admit card is released, candidate will not be able to change the exam centre in any circumstances. The exam centre mentioned on the hall ticket is final. No. A candidate will not receive the UGC NET City Intimation Slip by post. The authority will release the City slip on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required their login credentials to download the city slip including the application number and date of birth.
