RBI Grade B Salary

The annual RBI Grade B salary package is around INR 14-16 lakh in metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, etc. The per month RBI Grade B salary is INR 55,200 per month. The pay scale is INR 55,200-2850(9)-80,850-EB-2850 (2)-86,550-3300(4)-99,750 (16 years). The monthly gross emoluments are INR 1,08,404 (approx). Besides, candidates are eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, and Grade Allowance.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts SSC CGL exam to recruit candidates for various positions in the Ministries in the Central Government. SSC CGL include various posts such as Assistants in the Ministry of External Affairs, Inspectors in Income Tax & Customs, AAOs in CAG, & numerous other departments such as CGDA, ED, CSS, AFHQ, etc.

Salary

The average monthly SSC CGL salary ranges between INR 55,626 and INR 65,318. The pay of government workers is boosted by the Seventh Pay Commission. The salary is fair, however, they are not compared to RBI Grade B Officer Salary.

Promotion

Promotions in SSC CGL are extremely slow. Candidates in some departments are only eligible for two promotions.

SBI/ IBPS Officers vs RBI Grade B Officers

IBPS PO: The basic IBPS PO salary is INR 36,000. Besides, candidates get other allowances such as Dearness Allowance(DA), House Rent Allowance(HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Special Allowances are also there.

SBI PO: At present, the starting basic is INR 41,960 (with 4 advance increments). SBI PO pay scale is INR 36,000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. SBI PO in hand salary ranges between INR 52,000 to 55,000 per month.

RBI Grade B Salary: The basic salary of RBI Grade B is 55,200. The gross emolument is INR 1,08,404.
