The college to improve if you can.
Placements: As per the report, approximately 88% of software engineering students got placed. Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and many top companies but not TCS in software engineering. You have a variety of choices like front-end developer, back-end developer, full stack developer, software tester, and web developer. The highest package I guess is 58 LPA or something. The average package is 20 LPA and no idea about the lowest. In software engineer branch, you will get internships easily so you can say 100% chance to get an internship majorly in companies near Gurugram.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is superb. The most advanced one is the newly constructed academic block for software engineer, computer science engineer, IT, and Mathematics, and computing students. Every lab is fully equipped with very smart lab assistants. Boys hostel is very bad in fact very bad. I highly suggest not taking hostel if you can afford a PG. Food quality is also bad for boys hostel. On the other hand, girls hostel building is newly constructed and is very good. I don't know about the food in the girls hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members what should I say it depends on some teachers. They are very good on the other hand some are very bad. Its lucky to get a good teacher but generally lab teachers are good. Lecture teachers are not good as lecture teachers skip syllabus and classes whenever he/she wants without prior information so if you are a day scholar be ready to waste your time and money. Exams conduct is very good. My branch exams are generally conducted in my department building. Each class has capacity of 100 students so no cheating bro and 2 invigilators for supervision.
Other: My course is software engineering which is very good. I chose it based on its placement money and percentage. Best thing is that everyone knows there is so much potential in computer and network so I chose it and besides I like coding. Generally 1st-year teachers end up procrastinating things on student's side of learning without giving much insight so this is a con in my branch in DTU every day. There is something going on so you won't get bored that's confirmed. As per fests, we have Engi fest north India's biggest fest, and this time Sonu Nigam came.

Comeback after covid is strong with visible growth in all aspects.
Placements: The following placement states discussed by me are the latest official released ones. They are not the full and final. Till around October 2024, 45% of my branch was placed. For my branch, the highest CTC is 85 LPA, and the average CTC is 20.9 LPA. The median salary is 14.75 LPA. A few of the top recruiters included Amazon, Ebullient, Zomato, and Apple for the tech branches. As the batch size is large, about a fifth of the batch got on-campus internships, however considering the tag and reputation of the college, off-campus internships are also common. Mostly the top roles are software development engineer.
Infrastructure: The software department is in a new building with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. Wi-Fi is available in almost all buildings, especially the tech departments. Classrooms are large and spacious. There are specialized labs such as IoT, DBMS lab, and so on. Library is very large and possesses and humongous category of literature. I don't live in the hostel, but from what I have heard, the hostel for fort tera is not that good, however for seniors, it's very nice. Mess canteen food is decent. There are many other eateries. Sports and games facilities are also very good with almost every sport available.
Faculty: Teachers are decent and show interest if the students too show interest. However, they are not very strict. Overall very friendly and understanding. Teaching quality varies but mostly they are good. Course curriculum is constantly evolving and adapting to make us industry-ready. Basics are being taught well enabling us to build up on it more. Semester exams are tough if you have not studied at all. But for sincere students, it's easy to prepare for it in 1-2 weeks. Pass percentage is relatively high.
Other: I was deeply interested in the software branch and chose this although I got a higher branch. The course is relevant and interesting to me. Teachers who take an interest make it even better. My only complaint was to make the course more relevant to placements and industry standards. But they are doing it already so all in all very satisfied. Events and fests are very good with equal number of artists, celebrities, and industrial experts coming. The networking game here is very strong so good connectivity. Campus surroundings are not very good but with metro connectivity anywhere can be reached easily.

One of the best colleges in Delhi.
Placements: In my department, the average placement is above 25 LPA, and every year over 70% of students get placed. It is literally one of the best colleges for placement in Delhi. Every top company, like Google, Microsoft, and many other big companies, recruits from DTU. It is one of the best in the country.
Infrastructure: Hostels are okay. like old hostels are pretty gross, but the new hostels look cool, and the infrastructure is great, but they offer only 3-seater rooms and lack privacy. The food is also okay. Although hostel life is great, but the infrastructure, quality of rooms, and food can be improved.
Faculty: For a student, it is the best. The attendance policy, with only 2 exams per semester. The syllabus is easy, and the campus is full of fests and extracurricular activities. Literally, every day is a fest at DTU. I am only in my first year, still collected a lot of memories from societies, events, trips, etc.
Other: Every day is an event at DTU.

I want to thank this college for new experiences and for providing me a platform to grow and learn.
Placements: The placement percentage ranges from 80-90% in my branch. For tech roles in India, the average salary ranges from 20-30 LPA, with the highest being 82 LPA domestically, and the lowest ranges from 7-10 LPA. Top recruiting companies include FAANG, Microsoft, Flipkart, Uber, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available across the campus, including in the labs, libraries, hostels, and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent, and the girls' hostel is no less than a hotel. The mess food is healthy and hygienic, cleanliness is maintained everywhere, and there is proper regulation of medical and sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are smart and helpful. They hold the proper qualifications and knowledge to teach. The teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher, but overall, it is a decent experience. The first-semester curriculum is not that relevant for software, but after that, the curriculum is relevant and updated. The difficulty of semester exams is decent, and almost everyone passes the exam.
Other: I have always had an interest in software, which is why I chose this course. The best thing about my course is the placement.

The teaching faculty is good.
Placements: Our college has great placement records. Almost 78% of students are placed at our institution. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Microsoft, and Wipro. The top roles are Project Manager and Software Developer. Around 70% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Labs are adequate, and the classrooms are spacious and sufficient for students. Wi-Fi is available. The library is very large, with books from all branches available. There are sports activities in our college, including both inter-branch and competitive games. The hostel provides 24-hour hot water and home-cooked food.
Faculty: Our teachers are good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They are experienced professionals. They assign projects and provide valuable information about placements. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students to be industry-ready. The semester exams are fair, and if we study well, we can easily pass them.
Other: I opted this course because of my interest.

    Students also asked

Q:   What is the fees structure of DTU for BTech?
    A:

The total tuition fee for the full-time BTech programme ranges between INR 6.06 and INR 6.42 lakh while the students who get into this college via Lateral Entry are required to pay a tuition fee of INR 2.97 lakh. Additionally, the total tuition fee for BTech (Evening) programme is INR 4 lakh. This structure of DTU fees for BTech, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence is indicative. For the exact fee, students can reach out to the admission office or visit the official website for details. Additionally, for all BTech courses, aspirants are also required to pay a registration cum counselling fee of INR 1,500 on the official website of JAC Delhi which is non-refundable. When a student receives an admission offer, they are required to pay the admission fee charges (which are adjusted in the total fee) to confirm their seat.

Q:   Is it worth pursuing BTech at DTU?
    A:

DTU ranked 29 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF 2023. There are many IITs ranked before DTU under the same category. Also, it competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in several specialisations of BTech. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as an IIT or an NIT in northern India. In fact, The Times Rankings 2022 ranked DTU number 1 in the Delhi NCR region for 'Engineering' category.

DTU BTech students are placed in top companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Zomato, and others. Also the BTech fee is not very high. To clear JEE Main, candidates must study according to the JEE Main syllabus and appear for as many JEE Main mock tests as possible.

Q:   Can I get admission to Delhi Technological University in BTech CSE if my rank is under 5000?
    A:

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 4008 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in DTU - Delhi Technological University.

Q:   What is the category-wise cutoff for CSE at DTU?
    A:

The DTU CSE cutoff 2025 for the general AI category students was 2285 in the first round and 4034 in the second round. The cutoff ranks vary for different rounds, categories, and quotas. As compared to other BTech specialisations, CSE was the most competitive for admission among the reserved and unreserved categories. Candidates seeking admission to CSE at DTU can refer to the table below to view the JAC Delhi category-wise cutoff ranks for Round 2.
