IIT Delhi Eligibility and Selection 2025
IIT Delhi admission process is entrance-based, except for the PG Diploma course. For BTech admission, IIT Delhi accepts JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exam scores, followed by the counselling round. For IIT Delhi MBA admission, candidates must have a valid CAT score. Similarly, admission to IIT Delhi MTech and MSc courses is GATE and IIT JAM based, followed by COAP and CCMN counselling, respectively. Registration is open for Master of Science (MSc) admission. IIT Delhi OBC cutoff 2025 for JEE Advanced is yet to be released. However, during the last round cutoff in 2024, the JEE Advanced closing ranks for BTech admission varied between 89 and 3185 in the All India quota. In the first round, the cutoff ranks were more competitive for admission compared to the final round. Therefore, based on last year's cutoff ranks, a JEE Advanced rank of 7000 does not allow for admission at IIT Delhi for any BTech or Integrated BTech courses for students belonging to the OBC AI category.
The total course fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, medical fees, transport fees, etc. IIT Delhi PhD tuition fee for full-time course is INR 7,500 per semester. In addition, PhD (part-time/sponsored) programmes is INR 17,500. The hostel fee for PhD candidates is INR 13,250. Some other fee such as students distress fund scheme (each semester) of INR 400 and insurance scheme (yearly) fee of INR 500 may also be added in the fee. Further, the fee mentioned here is taken from IIT Delhi 2023 prospectus.
For IIT Delhi M.Des admission, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ BDes/ BArch or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates are also required to appear for the CEED entrance test.
IIT Delhi Admission Process 2025
IIT Delhi admission 2025 is entrance-based for all the courses. The application forms are available on the institute's official website. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) offers a list of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The flagship programme of IIT Delhi is BTech which is offered in 14 different specialisations. Admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is granted based on JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling. Step 1: IIT Delhi Application Process 2025
Candidates seeking admission at IIT Delhi are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. For example, for BTech, candidates are required to apply for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced application.
Similarly, for IIT Delhi PG admissions, the IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters) application form is required to be completed for the MSc course and likewise other accepted exam applications. IIT Delhi BTech Admission 2025
IIT Delhi offers a full-time Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme with a duration of four years. Eligible students must have good scores in the JEE Advanced exam for BTech at IIT Delhi. Shortlisted candidates are allotted seats through JoSAA counselling.
BTech at IIT Delhi is available across 14 specialisations, namely CSE, Mathematics & Computing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Engineering Physics, among others. Out of all these, CSE and Mathematics & Computing Engineering are the most competitive specialisations basis their cutoff.

Admission to IIT Delhi BTech courses is subject to fulfiment of the eligibility requirements for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
