LPU B.Des admissions 2026 are open. Additional updates are below:
- The NIFT 2026 Stage 1 result has been declared for the BDes course. The Stage 2 exams will be held from Apr 6, 2026 to Apr 11, 2026.
- The UCEED 2026 counselling registration is in process for the BDes course. Students can register for the same until Apr 10, 2026. Also, round 1 counselling is set to start on Apr 21, 2026.
- The NID DAT 2026 (Prelims) exam result for the B.Des course will be released on Apr 7, 2026.
LPU BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2026
LPU offers a four-year BDes programme spread across eight semesters. The university offers LPU at the UG level in eight specialisations. Apart from regular BDes, LPU also offers lateral entry to the programme. The university provides lateral entry to three BDes specialisations. Candidates can check below the eligibility criteria for the BDes course:
Eligibility: A pass in Class 12 with English with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for LPU BDes programme. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in the English medium. There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-east states and Sikkim or defence personnel and their dependents or wards of Kashmiri migrants.
Eligibility for BDes Lateral Entry
Candidates need to complete three-year Diploma in Interior/ Architecture/ Civil after completing Class 10 or two or one-year diploma after Class 12 to apply for BDes (LE).

LPU does not offer direct admission. However, admission to few courses is merit-based. Aspirants scoring a 65% aggregate have a good chance of getting admission in LPU. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. LPU NEST application form fee for a soft copy of the LPU NEST 2026 Kit is INR 1000 for boys and girls. The printed copy of the LPU NEST Kit is available for INR 1500 for boys and girls. The application fee can be paid online if the application form is filled out online. The application fee can be given as a demand draft if the application form is submitted offline. If the DD is not enclosed or DD is wrongly drawn, the application form will not be accepted. The application fee has to be paid to submit the application form.
The fee for LPU BDes is INR 9.60 Lacs for four-years. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee. Candidates after completion of the selection round, have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The semester fee for BDes is INR 1.20 lakh. Apart from course fee, aspirants also have to pay a registration fee in the start for admission.

The exam fee for LPUNEST (soft copy of LPUNEST KIT) is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females. The printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1,500 for boys and INR 1,000 for girls. Check below the steps to apply for LPU admission:
