PU UGLAW Counselling 2026: Registration Dates, Fees, Seat Allotment, Merit List

After the exam is over, the exam authority releases the two merit lists, first a tentative merit list, and then a final merit list, which is revised and provisional.

PU UGLAW 2026 counselling is a complete offline process.

Below are the steps explaining how the counselling process works:

• First, the PU UGLAW result is announced.

• The candidates who qualify the PU UGLAW 2026 exam will then have to fill the admission form. Based on the admission form information, merit lists are prepared, which comprise a tentative merit list and a preliminary merit list.
• The final merit list shall have the name of the candidates eligible for counselling. The names shall be available rank wise in the list.
• The PU then releases the counselling schedule. In the counselling schedule, the candidates are grouped rank wise and are called for physical reporting for admission. Each group is called on different dates.

Certain things must be noted related to the PU UGLAW 2026 counselling, such as:

• All those candidates who attend the counselling are requested to mark their attendance. 
• The candidate selected for admission will be required to deposit the original certificates along with the photostat copies.
• The candidate shall attend the counselling for admission at their own risk, expense and responsibility. 
• Admission in all categories shall be made subject to fulfilment of the eligibility conditions.
•  All the candidates have to mark their attendance separately for all three centres i.e. UILS, Chandigarh, UIL, PURC, Ludhiana, UILS, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur on respective days for considering her/his name in the waiting list.
• For filling the vacant seats only those candidates will be considered who marked their attendance in the First Counselling and their names figure in the Waiting Lists of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.).
• It will be candidate’s responsibility to get the attendance marked in the waiting lists of all categories of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) separately.
• This is for the information of all the candidates seeking admission to B.A./B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Years Integrated Course–2025, that NO FEE will be taken on the day of COUNSELLING for UILS Chandigarh.

PU UGLAW 2026 counselling will be held at the following centres:

• UILS, PU Chandigarh  for all categories
• UILS, PU Chandigarh for all reserved categories
• UIL, PURC Ludhiana  for the general and reserved categories
• UILS, PUSSGRC, HSP for the general and reserved categories

If after the PU UGLAW 2026 counselling based on the final merit list, seats remain vacant, then those seats will be available for candidates on the waiting list. Subsequent counsellings are declared from time to time subject to the declaration of vacant seats within the prescribed University admission schedule with prior approval of DUI.
