VIT is the 8^th best University Category,  11^th Best Research and the 11^th best Engineering institution of India in 2023 NIRF Ranking published by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. As for the placement record the highest package and average package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2023 stood at INR 1.02 crore per annum and INR 9.23 LPA,  respectively. Further,  4,461 super dream offers and 3,453 dream offers were received during VIT Vellore placements in 2023. The institute offers a full-time M.Tech in 22 specialisations of Engineering. A few of the top specialisations include Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design, CAD/ CAM, Biotechnology, Automotive Electronics, and Manufacturing Engineering, among others. Candidates must hold BE/ BTech degree in relevant discipline to apply for the M.Tech course. Candidates must pass BE/ BTech degree in relevant subjects to apply for the M.Tech course. Admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE/ VITMEE score followed by a counselling round. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

The VIT Vellore M.Tech admission process is completely entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission based on VITMEE exam, which is conducted at the university-level by VIT. Students need to qualify the exam to proceed to further selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates are offered final admission based on their performance in PI round.

VIT Vellore MTech per annum fee is around INR 1.53 Lakhs to 1.93 lakhs (Category 1) and INR 2.33 lakhs to 3.02 Lakhs. The mentioned fee structure includes caution fees. Students must pay the MTech course fee after their selection; otherwise, the admission will get cancelled. Also, students have to pay INR 1200 as a registration fee while applying for VIT Vellore M.Tech admission. The registration payment is accepted online through net banking / credit card / debit card.

VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.
