NIT Nagaland History:

Beginning within the mentorship of NIT Silchar for 2 years, NIT Nagaland is known to be among 10 newly approved NITs in the year 2009.
For the first 2 years, NIT Nagaland operated from the campus of NIT Assam.
The Institute began its academic year in 2010, with permanent land allocation by January 2012.
Interestingly, NIT Nagaland conducted its first academic session within the walls of the permanent campus on September 20, 2012.
NIT Nagaland is established on the land of 291 acres, which was originally allocated for the office of Deputy Commissioner.

NIT Nagaland Admission Process and Important Dates 2025

NIT Nagaland admission process is entrance-based. BTech is offered at UG level while MSc and MTech programmes are offered at PG level. BTech admission in the college is entrance based with the college accepting JEE Main scores.
