SEED Slot Booking 2026 - The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) conducted the slot booking for Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) from the last week of January 2026. The PRPI for Round 1 will be conducted in the last week of March 2026. Candidates need to participate in the PRPI on the given date. The SEED 2026 exam is conducted for admission to design courses. As part of the PRPI, the candidate needs to perform a PRPI task and upload their portfolio. The guidelines for the PRPI are outlined in the SID admission portal.
Candidates included in the PRPI shortlist can appear in the PRPI round. Admission to Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will be based on the written exam (SEED), portfolio review, and personal interaction. Candidates must check the detailed admission schedule and register for the SEED Exam.

How to book slots for SIU Design Admission Process 2026?
Candidates can book slots for personal interaction as given below.
- Go to website
- Click on admissions tab and the link for SEED Slot booking under this tab
- Log in with user ID and password
- You will be given dates and time slots for your respective colleges that you can choose from
- If you are interested in participating in both design institutes, then you can book slots accordingly
- Once slot booking is complete, you will be sent a confirmation email and SMS to your registered email address and phone numbers

The slot booking process of SEED 2026 for the Personal Interaction will open in the last week of January 2026. The slot booking process will open online at sid.edu.in.
You need to log in to the portal using your log-in ID and password to book your slots.
Upon successful slot booking, call letters will be issued.
The application form of SEED 2026 is open for the M.Des program. The application form has to be submitted online at sid.edu.in (application link also given on this page).
As part of the application filling process, the candidate has to get registered, fill in the form, upload documents, and pay the application fee. The SID admission registration fee is Rs. 3250/- (Rs. 2250 for SEED & Rs. 1000 for SID)

Commonly asked questions
Candidates are not required to submit an elementary drawing exam certificate for the Admission Procedure at SID. The candidate merely needs to meet the academic, qualifting exam, and age criteria. Eligible candidate next needs to appear in the SEED 2026. Those qualifying in the exam will have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final results would be prepared by giving weightage to the SEED 2026 exam and the PRPI.
The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not have any provisions for direct admission to second year. So, candidates have to compulsory take admission in the first year of the B.Des program. Note that admission to the B.Des is only through the SEED 2026 exam.
Scores of the qualifying exam will not be considered for admission to the B.Des program. Neither does SID accept scores of other popular entrance exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc.
As per information on SID website, the institute does not promote or is aware of any coaching classes/preparatory classes. So, the candidate can decide whether they want to join any coaching institute or not. Note that there are many coaching institutes that offer preparation classes for exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc.
Candidates can also download online study material after paying charges.
Portfolio submission is the 2nd stage of the SEED 2026 admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload portfolio and PRPI task starting in the last week of March 2026.
The portfolio and PRPI upload link will be available on the SID website after the candidate has booked the Personal Interaction slots.
SEED 2026 written will have 60 questions and will be of 60 minutes. The questions will include MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image based and comprehension based.
Further, the paper will contain a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.
SEED portfolio may contain
- Sketches, mixed media illustrations and digital work
- Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles
- Photography
- 3D objects like sculpture, fabric products, gadgets, art inspired products, etc.
The start date for uploading portfolios has not been declared yet, but it is expected to be in the last week of March 2026. The portfolio upload link was given on the SID admission portal. The candidate needed to follow the specified guidelines when uploading the portfolio.
