
UCEED Result 2026 - IIT Bombay is expected to declare the results for the UCEED 2026 exam in the first week of March, 2026. The result was announced for candidates who will appear for the exam on January 18, 2026.
The UCEED 2026 Score Card will be available for download from the first week of March 2026 after the declaration of the result. Note that the Part B answer booklet will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A. Further, only such candidates who have qualified Part A will be shortlisted and allocated a merit rank.
This means if the candidates fails to qualify Part A of UCEED 2025, they will not be issued any merit ranks. The scorecards of such candidates will merely includes Part A scores. In contrast, the screcards of shortlisted will include a merit rank, total and sectional scores. Further, all shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in UCEED 2025 and seat allotment.
The exam analysis for the UCEED 2025 exam will be made available on this page within a few minutes of the conclusion of the entrance exam. The exam analysis will include the following elements: section-wise and overall difficulty level, types of questions, topic-wise weightage, and expected cut-off. It will also notify candidates if any technical glitches were observed during the exam.
The candidate can go through the detailed analysis and compare their performance and thus access their chances of admission. Note that analysis done by leading coaching institutes will also be updated here.
IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am – 12 noon). The exam had two mandatory parts: the computer-based Part A and the offline Part B. The UCEED 2025 admission portal was uceed.iitb.ac.in, which hosted all key updates including the information brochure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, candidate portal, and downloadable resources like previous years' question papers and answer keys.

UCEED Result 2026 Tie-Breaker
In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in the exam, a tie-break policy is used for awarding UCEED 2026 ranks to candidates, as mentioned below:
- A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B.
- If the criterion given in (1) does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
- If criteria (1) and (2) do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
- If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
Candidates must note that securing a rank in the UCEED exam does not guarantee admission to the BDes course. Aspirants who make it to the UCEED merit list need to participate in a joint seat allocation process/counseling.

IIT Bombay usually doesn't make any arrangements like baggage counters. So, it is a good idea for candidates not be bring any unnecessary stuff with them to the exam centre. Also, if the candidate has any doubts, he or she must go through the exam-day guidelines published by exam officials to check if any special arrangements are being made. Since it is unlikely that there will be a baggage counter, the candidate can not afford to bring valuable items and leave it unattended outside the exam hall. It is because if any valuable item is lost, IIT Bombay will not take any responsibility.
The UCEED 2025 exam will have two sections - Part A and Part B. While the syllabus has been revised for the exam, there are still some topics that overlap. For instance, Part A still continues to have the Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Observation and Design sensitivity, and a few other topics from the various edition. So, candidates can use the previous years papers to practice these topics. For the other topics, the candidate can try out sample papers.
In addition to the syllabus, IIT Bombay has also revised the UCEED 2025 exam pattern.
Part A will now have 57 questions (down from 68), while Part B will have two questions (instead of 1).
Yes, there will be biometric verification at the UCEED 2025 exam centre. The biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) will be collected from the candidate before the commencement of the exam. On exam day, the candidate needs to bring with them a valid photo id proof and the admit card. Note that the photo id proof must be in the original; photocopies will not be accepted. Note that the candidate needs to report at the UCEED 2025 exam centre at least 2 hours before the commencement of the exam.

The UCEED 2026 result and scorecard will contain the following information:
- Name
- Roll number
- Part A marks will be displayed for all candidates
- Part B, Total Score, and Merit Rank (s) will be displayed only for candidates who have qualified UCEED 2026 exam.

Note: The Part-B answer booklet will not be evaluated unless the candidate has been shortlisted. To get shortlisted, the candidate needs to secure the minimum prescribed marks in UCEED 2026 Part A.

To participate in UCEED 2025 counseling, the candidate has to meet the following conditions:
Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000
UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualifed in the UCEED 2025 exam.
Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all five subjects in 10+ 2 or an equivalent exam in 2024 or 2025. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible.

Part B of the question paper included a sketching-based question of moderate difficulty level. The question will carry100 marks.
UCEED 2026 Rank List
The UCEED 2026 rank list is prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) secured by candidates in the exam. All shortlisted candidates will get a common merit rank (All India Rank). All shortlisted candidates are considered qualified candidates in UCEED 2026.
It may be noted that only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each section of the exam and minimum total marks will be included in the UCEED 2026 rank list. The minimum marks that candidates belonging to different categories had to score overall and in each section of the exam are mentioned in the table below:

The candidate needs to ensure that they follows the prescribed spefications when uploading the documents. If the prescribed specification is not followed, either the candidate may face difficulty in uploding the documents or there is a chance the documents may be rejected and the candidate may be disqualified. Only such candidates who successfully complete the document verification process will be considered for admission to the B.Des program.
The registration fee for UCEED counselling 2025 is INR 4,000. The fees has to be paid in online mode using payment modes like net banking, credit cards, and debit cards. Note that if the candidate has been allotted a seat during UCEED counseling 2025, the candidate will also have to pay the seat-acceptance fee, which is separte from the counseling fee. If the candidate fails to pay the seat-acceptance fee, then the allotment will be cancelled and allotted to the candidate next in the order of merit. The seat allotment process for UCEED 2025 will be held in three rounds. The seat allotment for Round I will be announced on April 10, 2025.

IIT Bombay doesn’t release any exam analysis for the UCEED exam. It simpy conducts the exam, and releases the draft and final answer keys. Consequently, no official analysis is available for the UCEED 2025 exam.
So, the candidate has to rely on exam analysis brought to them by shiksha.com and a other unofficial sources. Shiksha.com correspondents visited the exam centre on exam-day and brings you student reactions and detailed exam analysis.
You can go through the analysis and get inputs like question paper difficulty level, types of and specific question asked, expected cut-off, etc.
Note that IIT Bombay will release the question paper for the UCEED 2025 exam.
The UCEED 2026 application form is to be filled by candidates seeking admission to the B. Des programme. Also, UCEED 2026 scores is not considered for admission to the M.Des programme. So, the candidates must instead fill out the application form for CEED 2026. Note that both the CEED and UCEED exams are conducted by IIT Bombay.

The UCEED scorecard 2026 is expected to be available for download from the first week of March 2026 to the second week of June 2026, on the official website. It is valid for one year from the date of release.
- The scorecard of UCEED 2026 will include the Part A marks for all candidates.
- The Part B answer sheet will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part A cut-off and is shortlisted. Consequently, the scorecard will not include Part B marks for candidates who fail to qualify Part A
- UCEED 2026 marks and merit ranks will be released only for shortlisted candidates.
- The UCEED 2026 merit rank will be considered for seat allotment.

The seat allotment was conducted in five rounds. To make seat allotments, the committee will consider:

IIT Bombay will declare the results of CEED exam on March 4, 2026. The result will be declared online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. To check their results, the candidate needs to log in to the result portals using their log-in id.
The CEED 2026 results will be released for all candidates who appear in the design entrance exam. However, the CEED merit rank will only be issued to candidates who qualify for Part A and are shortlisted.
