JoSAA 2019 (Round 7) : Changes In NIT Chemical Engineering Cutoffs

In the 7th round of JoSAA 2019 counselling, only three of the NITs have witnessed a jump in ranks for admissions to the institutes’ 4 year BTech Chemical Engineering course. Read more.

The latest JoSAA 2019 cutoffs for Round 7 have been released on July 18 by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. In the last round of JoSAA counselling, only three of the NITs (National Institutes of Technology) have witnessed a jump in ranks for admissions to the institutes’ 4 year BTech Chemical Engineering course. In the seventh round cut offs, closing ranks of the course at NIT Jaipur, NIT Srinagar and NIT Agartala rose up by 3176, 2173, 1275 ranks, respectively. The remaining NITs saw a fall in ranks.

For instance, NIT Andhra, NIT Raipur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Nagpur, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Surat etc saw a steep fall in Chemical Engg ranks in comparison to 2018. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority releases round-wise (seven rounds) cutoffs/opening and closing ranks for various UG engineering programmes offered by these institutes.
