Make a timetable: Create an adequate schedule to cover all the topics on time. This timetable must include six to eight hours of training, followed by 15-20 minutes' break while preparing for the entrance exams. Take regular breaks to relax.

The students preparing for UPSEE could also take professional guidance from the coaching classes, either online and offline. This would help in clarifying the doubts regularly.

Practise mock tests: Mock tests play a significant role while preparing for any entrance exam. The students should practise mock tests regularly to evaluate their performance and identify the weak areas.  Work on these areas to score well in the exam.

Give equal time to cover all the subjects. Focus on completing the syllabus on time to give more time for revising the important topics.

Practise previous year question papers:  Practising previous year question papers is one of the important steps of the preparation process. The students should practise previous year question papers regularly to understand the exam and question pattern. This also helps in managing time and building confidence.

During the last days before the scheduled exam, avoid starting any new topic as this would lead to confusion and lower the confidence level as well. The students need to focus on clarifying basic concepts and learning formulae to score well.

Easy tips for Exam

  • Don't waste time in solving a question that seems difficult, instead, proceed to the next question and return to this question later if there is any spare time
  • Understand the sectional marking scheme, including the total marks
  • If any particular section in the exam seems difficult, then try to attempt the minimum number of questions required in the section
  • Read all the questions carefully before answering
  • Do not use any shortcut in the test unless you are completely sure
  • Avoid guesswork in the exam
