Yes, students can get really good placements at VIT Vellore. According to the report,  the highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2026 was INR 1 Crore per Annum. This is the 4th consecutive year wherein more than 10,000 offers were made. 696 Marquee offers above INR 20 LPA were made in 2026. Number of Super Dream (above 10 LPA) and Dream Offers (above 6 LPA) made were 3,097 and 2,917. 742 companies visited the campus in 2026.

For the General AI female category, the last round cutoff ranged from 395 (BTech CSE) to 16204 (BS in Chemistry). Among all the BTech courses, BTech CSE was the most sought-after course for admission, with the cutoff rank of 395. In the case of BS courses, BS in Mathematics was the most competitive course, with the closing rank of 3727.

NIT Trichy releases cutoff for BTech course is based on the score JEE Mains, followed by the JoSAA counselling process. For BE/BTech, the JEE Mains Round 5 cutoff for General-All India, ranged from 1373 to 20111. In round 5, the most competitive BE/BTech was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with a closing rank of 1373.
