GATE 2026 Exam Date Branch Wise
IIT Guwahati released the GATE 2026 exam dates on the official website. The information bulletin is now available. Candidates are advised to keep track of the GATE 2026 exam schedule. The official website has been updated. The GATE 2026 information brochure contains information on all important examinations and test papers. The GATE 2026 exam will be held for four consecutive days in two shifts. The GATE 2026 exam timings were Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
The subject-wise GATE exam dates 2026 will be announced after the registration process and admit card download.

The GATE 2026 application form was released on August 28 on the official website, which has been launched. The application form link is now activated at the GOAPS portal. Candidates can check the dates below -

GATE 2026 Application Form Correction Window
The correction facility will be available after the registration process. The GATE 2026 correction facility will be available for three to four days, where aspirants can edit their personal and other details, such as category, name, educational qualification details, etc. The last date to change category, paper, exam city, etc. is November 6.
GATE 2026 Admit Card Release Dates
The GATE 2026 admit card link will be activated at the GOAPS portal a few days after the correction process. The GATE 2026 admit card date is January 2. Candidates who have submitted their application form must download their hall ticket using their registration ID and password. It is a mandatory document that must be carried to the exam hall.
GATE 2026 Exam Dates
IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 exam for four days for different test paper codes. The branch-wise schedule will be updated on the official website after the completion of GATE pre-exam activities.

GATE 2026 Answer Key Release Dates
The answer key will be available in two formats - provisional and final. The GATE 2026 provisional answer key will be released on the official website. Candidates can match their responses with the GATE answer key and challenge any question for a fee. Based on the submitted challenges, the final answer key will be released.
GATE 2026 Result Date
The GATE 2026 result date is March 19. Candidates can check their GATE 2025 results on the GOAPS portal by providing their enrollment ID and password. The scorecard of GATE 2026 will also be available on the portal.
GATE 2026 Scorecard
The GATE 2026 scorecard will be available a few days after the result announcement. The GATE 2025 scorecard is now available. The GATE 2026 scorecard is available for free download from March 27 to May 31, 2026. Later, the scorecards will be available for download by paying a fee of INR 500 per test paper from June 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. Only qualified candidates can view and download their scorecards. The GATE scorecard will be valid for three years from the publication date of the results.
NOTE: The GATE 2025 scorecard is available for download (with INR 500 as fees) till December 31. Candidates can use their GATE 2025 enrollment ID and password to download.
GATE 2026 Counselling for Admissions: The GATE 2025 counselling process through CCMT will start after the announcement of results. Qualified candidates can register and start filling in their choices within the deadline. The dates for the CCMT and COAP counselling 2026 will be updated soon.

As such, the GATE authorities have not mentioned anything regarding the black and white or colour printout of the GATE admit card to be carried or not. But it is better to carry a colour printout of the hall ticket to the exam centre Also, the admit card of GATE must be in A4 size format.
