Overview

MET 2026 result for Phase 2 exam has been released. Candidates can now check their MET result 2026 online at manipal.edu. Scores obtained in exam have been released through result. To download MET result, candidates will have to log in using their email address and password. Candidates have also been notified about their result through SMS to their registered mobile number. MAHE will announce the ranks obtained in exam soon in form of MET rank card 2026. Separate results are announced for different rounds of MET 2026 exam.

Qualified candidates have to participate in MET 2026 counselling for admission. Based on MET and 12th standard scores, candidates will be considered for admission. What after MET 2026 result?

MAHE will announce MET counselling 2026 dates after rank card is released. Qualified candidates have to participate in MET counselling for admissions into participating campuses. MET 2026 counselling registration will be open online at counseling.manipal.edu. To login, they will have to use application number and counselling password. First, candidates have to upload their 12th marksheet. After registrations are open, they will have to update profile details. MET 2026 counselling fee has to be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card. Selection of courses and campuses has to be done in order of preference.

How is MET 2026 Rank Calculated?

MET 2026 rank is calculated after adapting a normalisation process. Since the exam is held in different shifts, the difficulty level will be different and will impact performance of the candidates. To ensure that students do not face any unfair means, the authorities will compare students' performance with the others in same shift. Obtained scores will be normalised through a formula. Final MET rank of the candidates will be prepared based on the normalised scores.

Q:   I have attempted both sessions of MET. Which score will be used for admissions?
A: 

Candidates will be eligible to apply for one or both sessions of MET 2025. If the candidates attempt both sessions of MET then the authorities will consider the best of the two scores for admissions into the B.Tech courses offered by the participating campuses. The candidates will be required to qualify at least one session to be eligible for admissions. Candidates are advised to attempt both sessions so that they have higher chances of securing the required scores to be allotted into their preferred course and campus.

Q:   Will MET toppers be announced by MAHE?
A: 

No. The authorities of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) have not announced the MET toppers as of yet. However, if the list of MET toppers are announced, the candidates will be able to access the details here. The authorities will prepare and release the candidate's ranking through the MET merit list. The allotted ranks will be considered for allotment during the MET counselling process. The candidate's ranking is an important factor for allotment into the preferred course and campus.

A good score in MET will depend on which course and campus the candidates wish to apply for. However, overall the candidates should score 110+ marks out of 240 marks to get a good chance of admission.

Q:   Is MET easy or tough?
A: 

According to previous years' trends, MET exam is moderate in difficulty. Candidates who are well prepared for their board exams will be able to prepare for MET exam simultaneously.

Q:   What is the total score in MET?
A: 

As per MET exam pattern, total score is 240. However, for every wrong answer in MCQs, one mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for NATs.

Q:   What is the overall difficulty level of MET?

Overall, MET is of moderate difficulty. Candidates who are prepared for board exams will be able to simultaneously prepare for MET. In comparison to national level exams such as JEE Main, MET is considered easier.

Q:   What are the minimum marks required to qualify MET exam?

There are no minimum marks required to qualify MET exam. However, candidates have to meet minimum eligibility marks in 12th class for admissions.

MET exam pattern is released online. For multiple choice questions in MET exam, one mark will be cut. There is no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type Questions.
