MET 2026 counselling dates will be announced online. Candidates have to participate in online MET counselling 2026 for admissions into BTech courses offered by Manipal campuses. While registering for MET counselling, candidates have to pay required fee and fill their choice of course and campuses. Selection of choices should be in order of preference. MET 2026 counselling fee has to be paid through net banking/credit card/debit card.

MET 2026 seat allotment result is released at official website. Allotment of seats will be done according to preferences and MET 2026 score. After allotment, they will have to confirm their admission before last date, otherwise it will be cancelled. MET 2026 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Students are advised to check the official eligibility criteria before MET 2026 counselling registration. If they do not meet the eligibility, they will not be considered for admission.

  • The candidate should have a valid MET rank.
  • Candidate should have passed in 10+2 / A-Level / International Baccalaureate (IB)/American High School Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidate should have a minimum aggregate of 50 % in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects put together. In each of these subjects, candidates should have scored at least the minimum pass marks prescribed by the board.
  • Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 / A Level / IB / American High School Diploma or Equivalent board examination or are awaiting their results are also eligible for the counselling, provided they fulfil the above criteria.

Q:   Can I apply for MET counselling with other examination scores?
A: 

No. The authorities will not accept any other examination scores for MET counselling. All candidates will be assessed based on their scores secured in MET. To participate in the MET counselling and be eligible for admissions into the offered courses by the campuses, the candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance examination. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank along with other factors such as order of preferences, category and seat availability.

Q:   How many minimum marks are required for MET admission?
A: 

For MET admission, candidates have to pass 12th class qualifying exam. Minimum 50 percent is needed in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects. Candidates should have minimum pass marks in each subject.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for MET counselling?
A: 

MET counselling will be held online. To be eligible for counselling, candidates should have MET rank. They should have also passed 12th class qualifying exam with atleast 50 percent marks in Physics, Mathematics and one optional subject.

MET 2026 Counselling Process

MET 2025 counselling will be held online. Students can check steps for counselling given below.

  • Go to counseling.manipal.edu
  • Students have to log in with their application number and password to update their profile with correct details.
  • Counselling fee has to be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card. After admission, counselling fee will be adjusted with tuition fee.
  • Students will have to choose their courses and campuses as per preference.
  • MET seat allotment result will be announced online. Students will have to log in to check their allotment. Seats will be allotted according to student’s rank and preferences.
  • Students will have to confirm their admission by paying fee and verifying their documents at their allotted campus. Confirmation should be done before final date.

Q:   What is the MET counselling registration process?
A: 

To participate in the MET counselling process, the candidates will have to complete the registration process before the final date. To be registered for MET counselling, the candidates will have to click on the registration link and log in using their application number and OTBS password. After checking the profile, the candidates will have to update it with the necessary information . Not much changes in the details can be made during the MET counselling registration process. Candidates will also have to select their choice of courses and campuses in the order of preference for allotment. Fresh registration and choice filling/editing will be allowed for every round of MET counselling.

Q:   How can I check my MET seat allotment result?
A: 

MET seat allotment result will be announced online at counseling.manipal.edu. No other mode will be used to declare the seat allotment of MET. Candidates will be able to check the MET seat allotment result by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. Through the seat allotment result, the candidates will be able to check the course and campus that they have been allotted to. The selected candidates will also be informed about the admission confirmation and fee payment process.

Q:   What is the MET counselling fee?
A: 

MET counselling fee is INR 10,000. During counselling, candidates have to pay fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. Offline payments will not be accepted. If fee is not paid before last date, admission will be cancelled.

Documents required for verification during MET 2026 counselling

The selected candidates will be required to present the listed documents in original and photocopies at their allotted campuses for verification.

  • Printout of filled-in Common Registration Form downloaded from Counselling portal
  • MET 2026 Hall Ticket
  • Class 10th Standard marks card (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12th Standard marks card issued by the recognised board
  • Parent/Guardian's PAN Card
  • 2 recent passport-size photographs
  • Authorization Letter (if the representative is attending on behalf of the candidate)
  • Copy of Overseas Citizen of India/ Person of Indian Origin Card (if applied under OCI/PIO category)

Note: In case the candidates are unable to bring the original eligibility document, they can produce the internet copy of the marks card, duly attested by the college principal. Qualification obtained from Boards established by (i) A Gazette Notification of the Central/State Government, (ii) An Act of the Central/State Government, (iii) Executive orders issued by the Central/State Government will only be considered.

Q:   I missed the last date for MET counselling document verification. What should I do?
A: 

If candidates miss their last date for MET counselling document verification, then their admission will be cancelled.

Q:   Are category certificates required for MET counselling document verification?
A: 

Candidates who belong to reserved or special categories will have to submit their category certificates during MET counselling. If they cannot confirm their category, they will not be allowed to take admission as per respective category. Authorities will release list of documents that will be needed for verification.

MET 2026 Tuition Fees

For confirmation of admission, candidates will be required to pay the tuition fee. The counselling fee will be adjusted with tuition fee. It is to be noted that candidates will be able to pay MET tuition fee in two instalments. Failure to pay fee before the final date will result in the cancellation of admission.

Q:   What is the last date to confirm admissions through MET counselling?
A: 

Authorities have not yet announced final date to confirm admissions through MET counselling. If candidates do not confirm their admission before last date, their admission will be cancelled.

Q:   I am not satisfied with my MET seat allotment. What should I do?
A: 

If the candidates are not satisfied with their MET seat allotment, then they can forgo their allotment and participate in the next round of counselling. Registered candidates will be able to edit their submitted choice of courses and campuses in every round. In the next round, the candidates can edit the order of their preferences as per their wishes and participate in counselling and seat allotment process. Eligible candidates will be able to participate in all rounds of MET counselling.
