MET 2027 Exam Phases: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is expected to announce MET exam 2027 dates soon on manipal.edu. Through the official MET dates, candidates can check the phase-wise schedule for the entrance exam and admission process. MET exam is held in different phases for all eligible candidates. The registration process for different MET phases will be separate online at the official website. Candidates can choose their preferred MET exam phase after knowing more about the different phases.

What is MET exam?
Manipal Entrance Test is conducted as a national-level entrance examination to select eligible candidates for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses offered by the participating campuses - Manipal, Jaipur, Sikkim and Bengaluru. Candidates will have to register and attempt the entrance exam to be eligible for the admission process. The overall level of the MET exam will be similar to JEE Mains. Students have to prepare for Manipal Entrance Test by referring to the official syllabus, which will be similar to the 10+2th standard qualifying examination.

MET 2027 Exam: How many attempts are available in Manipal Entrance Test?
Manipal Academy of Higher Education conducts two phases of MET exam. Both phases are held separately, and the candidates will have to register for each phase individually. MET 2027 Phase 1 exam is expected to be held in the second week of April, while Phase 2 will be held in fourth week of May. A third attempt may be held if there are still vacant seats. The decision for the Phase 3 exam will be made by the MAHE authorities.
Which MET 2027 exam attempt to take?
Candidates are advised to prepare to attempt both MET 2027 exam phases, if possible. By attempting both phases, MAHE will consider both scores and choose the best for MET admissions. Since there is no change in syllabus between the two phases, candidates will not require any extra preparation for the second exam attempt.
Taking both MET exam attempts also gives candidates a second chance to improve their score, if they have not performed well in the first attempt. MET first attempt also acts as a stepping stone to understand the exam pattern and questions well, so that a better preparation strategy is adopted for the second attempt. Candidates are also encouraged to attempt both MET phases, since there is no negative impact, as the second attempt score will not cancel out the first attempt, and vice versa. The highest score, regardless of the attempt number, will be taken into consideration while preparing MET merit list. However, candidates who scored well in MET first attempt and are completely satisfied can skip second attempt.
Commonly asked questions
MET marking details is released online. Correct answers will be given four marks. One mark will be cut for incorrect answers in Multiple Choice Questions. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers to Numerical Answer Type Questions.
Students are advised to prepare the entire MET syllabus since it will be used to prepare the question paper. By knowing the full syllabus, the students will have higher chances of solving most questions. However, the important topics with higher weightage can be picked out to focus on.
In MET English section, students will be tested on their aptitude. In English section, students should prepare Grammar and Language Use, Vocabulary, Punctuation, and Reading Comprehension.
MET mock test will be available for all students. For mock test, no login details will be needed. Mock test will be available online. Candidates can use mock test to prepare for examination.
How to apply for MET 2027 exam phases?
MAHE will release MET application form 2027 online at manipal.edu. For each exam phase, separate application forms will be made available. Candidates will be able to register for MET 2027 Phase 1 exam in October 2026. A separate registration process for Phase 2 exam will be opened in March 2027. To be eligible for Phase 2 exam, additional fee has to be paid. Candidates will also be able to apply separately just for MET Phase 2 exam. Only online application forms will be accepted. No other mode of MET registration will be accepted.
