MET Most Important Chapters: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) as an annual entrance examination conducted in two phases. Since MET is a popular private engineering entrance examination, many aspirants prepare for exam to get admission into the participating campuses. MET Exam Pattern 2026

Official MET 2026 exam pattern has been released online. Candidates can check official pattern to know how entrance examination will be held. Some important information available through pattern are mode, duration, sections, marking details and more.

  • Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test
  • Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)
  • Sections: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
  • Total Number of Questions: 60 Questions
  • Total Marks: 240 Marks
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for every correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in MCQs. There is no negative marking for NAT Questions.

Admissions are not guaranteed to students if MET cutoff is met. Since other factors are also involved in allotment, just meeting cutoff may not be enough. However, it will give them higher chances of admission into their preferences.
