SSC GD Exam Date 2026 (OUT): Check Complete Schedule & Shift Timings

SSC GD notification 2026 is available now. The Staff Selection Commission issued the SSC GD Constable notification as a PDF download file at ssc.gov.in.

The SSC GD Constable DV/ DME 2025 dates have not been announced yet. However, it is expected that the SSC GD medical exam will start in November 2025. The CRPF will soon announce the dates for the Constable DME exam after the declaration of PET/ PST result.

The SSC GD apply online 2026 link was released online. The Commission issued the notification and application form for the SSC GD 2026 session at ssc.gov.in. Candidates need to fill out the form in order to appear for the exam.

The Commission will conduct the Constable GD in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF and Rifleman GD in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2026 from February 23 onwards. The SSC GD Constable 2025 exam will be conducted online in the computer-based exam (CBE) mode. The Staff Selection Commission organises the exam in various exam centres across India. 

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conductes the SSC GD exam every year for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other forces. The SSC GD post is generally referred to Constable GD, Riflemen GD and Sepoy. These posts are filled in the following forces:

The SSC GD Physical Test 2025 will be conducted from August 20 to September 12, 2025. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2025 for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) has been released by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on August 8, 2025. The SSC GD PET/PST admit card is released around 10 days before the allotted exam date.

The SSC GD Constable exam was conducted from February 4 to 25, 2025. The result was released on June 17, 2025. The SSC GD 2025 result is out within 4 months of the exam. Candidates can check the results by downloading the SSC GD result/merit list PDF. 

Yes, there is physical test in the SSC GD Constable exam. Candidates who clear the SSC GD exam (CBE) are called to appear for the physical test which is conducted by the CRPF. The SSC GD physical test comprises following process:

• Candidates need to fulfill SSC GD height/ weight requirement and undergo measurement of height, weight and chest as mentioned in the official notification
• Candidates need to perform a race within the given SSC GD running time limits.

There are no such repetitive questions in the SSC GD Constable exam. However, the topics and types are generally the same almost every year. The Commission makes changes in the difficulty level of the same topics asked in the exam. Moreover, the Commission may give more weight to one topic this year and another topic next year. For example, there may be more questions on the number system in 2025, and in 2026, the Mathematics section may include more questions on Algebra. So, Candidates need to prepare all the topics and sections carefully.

SSC GD Constable exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The SSC Constable exam is a popular exam among candidates because of its eligibility criteria, salary and the pride associated with working in the security forces.

Candidates need to wait about three to four months for the SSC GD result following the examination date. Previous examination results show that SSC GD Constable Result 2024 appeared on July 10, 2024 followed by the final outcome which was released on December 13, 2024.
