Scoring 70-80 marks in the Maharashtra law entrance exam is a decent score. The Maharashtra CET law entrance exam is a gateway to 19,780 seats across 189 law colleges in the state. This is a moderate score to seek admission for securing a seat in the top private & semi-aided law colleges. Although a reserved category candidate may be able to secure admission in top colleges as well with this score, for outside Maharashtra and open category candidates, this score is not suited for top colleges like GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune.

Candidates are advised to participate in the CAP process for the first three rounds in anticipation of getting admission in the top five MHCET Law colleges.

As per the initial student reaction, the MHCET Law 2026 3-year LLB entrance exam was of an Easy to Moderate difficulty level. The English section was easy and less questions were asked from the current affairs section this year.

SGBAU MH CET Law cutoff 2025 was 76.78 for the BA LLB course in the 3rd round. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff was 35.86 and 55, respectively. As per these cutoff ranks, we can see that the cutoff trend has seen fluctuation.

The last date to make changes to the MH CET Law application form for the 3-year LLB course was March 11, 2026. Post this date, no candidate will be allowed to make any corrections. No application fee will be accepted after this date for the 3-year LLB course.
