MH CET Law 1st Merit List for 5-Year LLB and 3-Year LLB

The MH CET Law Counselling is conducted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), which includes specific steps such as CAP registration, web option entry, the release of the alphabetical list, the release of the merit list, and seat allotment. The first merit list for 5-year LLB Round 1 has been published on July 30, 2025.

In this article, we will focus on the merit list aspect of MH CET Law CAP. The exam conducting body, CET Cell Maharashtra, releases three merit lists for MH CET Law. MH CET Law 2025 First Merit List

The first final merit list for 3-year LLB course has been published at llb3cap25.mahacet.org on August 02, 2025. Direct link to download the MH CET Law 2025 merit lists will be provided here. 

The first 5-year LLB final merit list of MH CET Law 2025 was released on July 30, 2025 at llb5cap25.mahacet.org.

What is MH CET Law Merit List? 

The MH CET Law merit list is a document that includes the names of all candidates who qualified in the MH CET Law exam. The order in which candidates' names are listed depends on the marks they obtained in the exam after the normalization process. The higher a candidate's marks, the higher their position in the MH CET Law merit list.

CET Cell Maharashtra releases separate merit lists for the 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB courses. A minimum of three merit lists are published for each course under the following categories:

• MS merit list is for candidates with Maharashtra State domicile. It includes candidates who were either born in Maharashtra or have mother or father from the state.
• OMS merit list is prepared for candidates who do not belong to Maharashtra. These candidates are classified under the Outside Maharashtra State candidature type.
• J & K merit list includes candidates who apply for the exam under the Jammu & Kashmir candidature category. It includes only the children of Indian citizens who were displaced from Jammu & Kashmir to safer places within the state or other parts of India from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities, as well as children of police and armed forces staff involved in counter-terrorism activities.
• Ex-Servicemen merit list includes the names of candidates who are wards of defence and armed forces personnel in India.

MH CET Law First Merit List: Mentioned Details

The details mentioned in the MH CET Law merit list are: 

• Candidate's MH CET Law application number/ID
• Candidate's name, gender, category and date of birth
• Priority based on being children of ex-servicemen or defence personnel
• CET percentile
• HSC/SSC/UG percentage
• Minority status

The steps to download the MH CET Law first merit list are given below: 

• Go to the website: cetcell.mahacet.org. 
• Click on the "Admission Process A.Y 2025-25" option. 
• Now, access L.L.B.-5 Years (Integrated)/ L.L.B.-3 Years CAP portal. 
• Click on the Round I merit list link. 
• The merit list will open in a new tab.
• Save the list as PDF.

Will I get admission if my name is mentioned on the MH CET Law First Merit List?

The names of candidates in the merit list are listed in the order of preference for seat allotment. If your name appears on the first merit list, you will be eligible for admission to a college. However, the allotment of college will depend on your marks. The candidates whose names appear in top of the list will have high chances of admission to a top college accepting MH CET Law scores.
