Mystory@Shankar: How I chose my course and college

In 2012 I was working in Fernandez Hospital when one of my friends suggested me to go for higher studies. I said I have done graduation now what I should do? He said go for MBA. I enquired about how to join MBA. I also got information about ICET – the exam that I needed to qualify to pursue higher education.

How I cracked college admission

I prepared for ICET through internet and books and gave the exam in March 2012. After a few months, in October 2012 I got results. I had cleared the exam. Those who had qualified by ranking were to be given an ID and password from government to choose a college. The dates had to be given to us within a week’s time during which we had to choose a college out of several college names depending on our choice. After completing this they called us for counselling date wise or rank wise. We had to go to the centre for counselling with all original certificates. I attended the counselling and all my certificates were valid. After a few days I was allotted a seat in ICBM SBE College.

My college life

ICBM SBE is a co-education institute. All my lecturers were very supportive and motivated all students. My MBA was a two-year course and every year we had two semesters. In two years of MBA we had total four semesters. Exams were conducted at the end of every semester.

I got a great opportunity of soft skills classes in which I had to speak English language in front of all students. Due to this I am now being able to write all about my MBA life. I had many friends who are till now my friends.

Last year we had to submit our project and viva that college lecturers had to come and take. In project we had to choose a topic. I had chosen a project on Training and Developing that I completed in 45 days in a Hero motor bike showroom. I submitted my project, gave viva exam and also the final semester exams held in June 2014. Till November 2014 I got results and I passed with 75%.

I have completed my post-graduation from ICBM SBE and my graduation from Osmania University. I have completed my intermediate from KV Golconda no. 1 and my SSC 10th from St Mary’s High School.

My hobbies are playing cricket, watching cartoon, etc. My family consists of four members, me, my elder brother, his wife and two children.
