Appeared for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2020)? While you wait for your result to be declared, here are certain processes you must be prepared for.

 TANCET Selection method

  • A merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained by the candidates appeared for the TANCET 2020.
  • Reservation norms of the government will be followed for the admissions.
  • If there is a tie of marks between two candidates, then while preparing merit list the candidate who has cleared all the subjects up to the final semester and having higher percentage of marks of the qualifying examination will be ranked first.

TANCET Counselling Procedure

  • Counselling will be held in Anna University campus, Chennai in the month of August.
  • You have to show them all the original certificates.
  • TANCET counselling fees: Rs 5,300 in demand draft or cash, inclusively of a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 300.

Step 1: Online Registration

  • If the candidate is eligible to participate in the counselling, then the candidate should register through online before the given deadline.
  • A log-in account will be created for the candidate after the successful completion of registration.

Step 2: Choice of course and college

  • The candidate will be allowed to choose a college and course online based on their score.
  • The candidate can indicate as many choices as they like from the list of seats that are available, in order of their preferences.

Step 3: Documentation Verification

  • After completion of the registration and choice of colleges, the candidate should report to any one of the designated nodal centers for the verification of the original documents and payment of the counselling and registration fees to lock their final choice.
  • Documents required for this process include self-attested copies mark sheets/provisional certificate of the qualifying examination; mark sheets of Class 10th and 12th; original mark sheet of TANCET 2020 rank card; hall ticket of TANCET 2020; online registration slip; nativity and community certificate; and self-addressed stamped envelope for counselling call letter and acknowledged card.

Step 4: Seat Allocation

  • Based on the choices of the candidate, seats will be allotted in order of the rank they secured.
  • The seat allotment order will be published online and also it will be published on the official website of Anna University.
  • If the candidate is not okay with the allotment of the seats, then the candidate can hold on till the next round of TANCET MBA counselling.
  • If the candidate is okay with the seat allotment then the amount should be paid for securing the seat allotment.

The HICAS MBA Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the MBA programme via the TANCET entrance exam. For the General AI category, the qualifying percentile was 5211. Please note that the cutoff for the other categories will vary accordingly.
