What is Normalization of Marks?

Also, was there a difference in the variation in the difficulty level of the exam? To address this question, conducting authorities follow a normalization process to bring scores on a common scale. Following a formula, conducting authority calculates normalized score for the multi-session papers.

Based on it, raw test scores are placed on a common scale. NMAT normalization process is opted to ensure that scores are comparable across test forms or the NMAT question paper and doing this ensures test score of any candidate is not adversely impacted because they received different test forms.
- The second level of score is the final percentile in NMAT exam. This is published by GMAC at the end of the testing sessions when all the candidates have completed their NMAT by GMAC exam.
- The third type of score is the NMAT historical percentile score that reflects a candidate's performance by comparing his/her performance with other candidates appearing for NMAT by GMAC in the previous year.
After NMAT result declaration, GMAC publishes admission cut-offs. Based on the NMAT cut-off score, candidates qualify for NMAT by GMAC selection process. The selection process consists of two rounds that are - Personal Interview and Case Discussion.

Divide your six months into three focused phases. Allot three months to thoroughly cover the NMAT syllabus. Dedicate two months to practice a minimum of 30 mock tests, and use the final month to revise formulas and concepts
