
NEET PG 2025 cutoff was reduced on January 13, 2026. Cutoff has been reduced in order to make more students elligible for remaining counselling rounds for seat allocation. Moreover, the decision made 95, 913 more candidates elligible for counselling round.

MCC Reduces NEET PG 2025 Cutoff
MCC has reduced cutoff for NEET PG 2025 for each category. Cutoff is reduced in last few rounds to make more students elligible for NEET PG counselling. Experts believe top seats and colleges are already filled in round-1 and round-2 which discourage students to participate in next few rounds. That is the reason cutoff is often reduced. Factors determining cut off of NEET PG 2025
There are certain factors that decide the cut off marks for NEET PG 2025 exam. These are as follows:
- Number of candidates who appeared for NEET PG exam
- Total number of seats available
- The difficulty level of the examination
- Previous years’ cutoffs

NEET PG 2025 Cutoff: Tie Breaking Criteria
In case of two students secure the same score in the NEET PG merit list 2025, then following tie-breaking criteria will be considered for providing admission:
More number of correct responses: Candidates who have a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
Less number of incorrect responses: Those with a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a higher rank in NEET PG 2025 merit list.
Age: The candidate who will be older than his/her counterpart will be preferred in case of the tie.
Higher aggregate marks: In case of the tie, the candidate who had secured higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be preferred.
