NEET 2025 notification was released on February 7, 2025, by the National Testing Agency. The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The NEET 2025 answer key was released by NTA on June 3, 2025. The result of NEET 2025 was declared on June 14, 2025

The NEET notification 2025 carried important information such as exam date, timing, eligibility criteria, application procedure and fee, exam pattern, and list of exam cities to be precise. NTA conducts the NEET UG exam for admission to undergraduate Medical, Nursing and other allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha Medicine, BVSC & AH, among others.

Details of the exam are announced in the form information bulletin, which was released along with the NEET 2025 application form, available from February 7 to March 7, 2025. NTA released NEET 2025 notifications for different events separately, such as the release of advance intimation of exam city slip, admit card, answer key, and result.

NEET 2025 Notification: Latest Updates

NTA released the NEET exam date on February 7, 2025. The NEET 2025 notification was released along with the application form. The NEET notification 2025 was released offline in the national dailies as well as online, on the official website of the exam, neet.nta.nic.in. With over 22 lakh test-takers, the NEET exam is considered the most important medical entrance examination in India for UG admissions.

This year, the NEET 2025 exam pattern underwent major changes. Announcing the same, NTA has stated, “Aspirants are hereby informed that the question paper pattern and examination duration will revert to the pre-COVID format. where there will not be any Section B anymore. Hence, there will be a total of 180 compulsory questions (45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 in Biology) which will be attempted by the candidates in 180 minutes thereby removing any optional questions and extra time introduced due to COVID.”
Apart from that, there have been changes in terms of NEET 2025 application process, exam city numbers, tie-breaking criteria and more.

NEET 2025 Notification Details

The following details are informed in the NEET UG notification 2025 and here we bring brief information about those.

NEET 2025 Application Form: The NEET UG application form for 2025 was released online on neet.nta.nic.in on February 7, 2025. The application form was divided into four sections, namely, Registration, Application Form, Document Upload and Fee Payment. Upon completing each step and final submission along with the fee, NTA sent an application confirmation to the candidates.

NEET 2025 Exam Date: The exam date is an important part of the NEET 2025 notification. Along with the exam date, the notification also released the exam timings. NEET is conducted in a single day and single slot window. The total duration is 180 minutes or 3 hours. As per the Indian Standard Time, the exam is scheduled from 2 PM to 5.20 PM. 

NEET 2025 Exam Centres: NEET 2025 exam centres were located in 566 cities across India. Like last year, NEET exam centres were located in 14 cities abroad. The number of NEET 2025 exam centres was 5,468. Candidates had to select three exam cities of their choice while filling the NEET 2025 application form. NTA allotted the NEET exam centre based on the preferences filled by the candidates during the submission of the application form and the availability of seats at the corresponding exam centre.

NEET 2025 Exam Pattern: The exam pattern of NEET suggests that it is a paper-pencil-based test of 180 minutes duration carrying 180 questions from Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The medium of the NEET question paper is 13, namely, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
