GATE 2026 Answer Key: IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 answer key on its official website. The GATE answer key 2026 is released twice - a provisional and final answer key. Candidates who have appeared for the GATE 2026 exam will be eligible to access the answer key. To access the GATE 2026 answer key PDF, candidates have to log in using their enrollment ID and password.

Firstly, the authorities will release the GATE 2026 provisional answer key PDF, where candidates will be able to object to the answers if they want to. To object to the IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 answer key, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 500 per question using any of the payment modes- debit card/credit card/net-banking, etc. Once the candidates submit the objections, the authorities review, and if the answer is correct, then the response will be included in the GATE 2026 final answer key on the GOAPS portal.

Candidates must note that the final answer key cannot be modified or rechecked. Hence, based on the final answer key, the GATE 2026 results and rank will be announced. The answer key will be available along with the question paper and response sheet PDF.

Steps to Challenge GATE 2026 Answer Key

After the release of the GATE 2026 provisional answer key, the GATE authorities will activate the link to raise objections to the answer key on the GOAPS portal. Candidates will be given two to three days to submit their objections. The exam-conducting body considers the objections, and if the objections are found genuine, then the official answer key will be revised. Candidates can find the process to raise objections to the GATE 2026 answer key below. Candidates who wish to raise objections against the GATE 2026 exam answer key must complete an online form that is released on the official website.

Steps to Calculate GATE 2026 Scores

Candidates can calculate their GATE scores using the marking scheme. The questions carry 1 and 2 marks. For each correct answer, add the marks and there is no negative marking for MSQs and NATs.
