What's Next After GPAT Results 2026?
After the GPAT results 2026, qualified candidates will now apply for the GPAT counselling. The counselling will be conducted by the respective participating colleges for admissions to mpharma course. Candidates can take help of the GPAT College Predictor to know which college accepts their rank for MPharm admissions.
The NBEMS has no role to play in the GPAT 2026 counselling. The document and eligibility verification of candidates will be done at the time of counselling by the concerned authority.

How is GPAT Rank calculated?
GPAT rank is the overall merit position of a candidate amongst others who took the exam. The NBEMS calculates the rank based on the scores obtained by candidates out of 500. The raw scores, calculated on the basis of the final answer key, are considered for generation of GPAT merit list or rank list. The factors that determine the GPAT rank are shared below-

GPAT Marking Scheme
The NBEMS follows the given marking scheme to calculate the raw GPAT scores-
- +4 for each correct answer
- -1 for each incorrect answer
- 0 for unattempted question
GPAT Qualifying Percentile
Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying percentile in GPAT exam to clear the exam. The percentile remains the same every year. However, the cutoff scores change depending on the difficulty level of exam. Have a look at the GPAT qualifying percentile below-

The NBEMS has released the GPAT final answer key 2026. The authority prepared the final answer key after analysing the objections raised by candidates.
The validity of the GPAT scorecard is three years. One can use the GPAT scorecard, within the year of the qualifying exam. GPAT scorecard is required by the participating institutes at the time of admission for the purpose of verification. Candidates must download and keep safe the GPAT scorecard as it is a mandatory document without which admission to top GPAT accepting institutes will not be granted.
The AIR rank in the GPAT result is secured on the basis of marks and percentages obtained in the GPAT exam. The GPAT result is published on the official website. Candidates will be able to check the merit list which will be published in PDF format at the official website. The AIR of the exam takers will be mentioned on the merit list and on the GPAT scorecard.
NBE will not conduct the counselling for the GPAT accepting colleges. However, the participating institutes furnish the list of important documents required at the time of counselling. Candidates are advised to take a printout/hardcopy of the GPAT scorecard as it will be required at the time of counselling for the purpose of verification.
Students who have lost their GPAT application number can retrieve it by selecting Forgot the application number option mentioned on the bottom right hand side of sign in page. After entering their details one can retrieve their GPAT application form.
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is an annual all-India examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to evaluate candidates for admission to Master's (M. Pharm) programmes in pharmacy. The exam will be conducted in online/computer-based mode. A total of 800 pharmaceutical participating institutes are expected to participate in GPAT 2025. The participating institutes include prominent colleges, universities, and institutions that offer M.Pharm courses and are AICTE approved
