DU Vice Chancellor launched the admission portal and the 'Bulletin of Information' marking the start of admissions for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate, 5-year integrated law, B.Tech., PhD, and School of Open Learning (SOL) programs.

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced its admission policy for the 2025-26 academic year, with 53,609 candidates registering for 82 postgraduate (PG) programs offering 13,432 seats, including those under the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB).

DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh launched the admission portal and the 'Bulletin of Information' during a press conference, marking the start of admissions for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate, 5-year integrated law, B.Tech., PhD, and School of Open Learning (SOL) programs.

Prof. Singh highlighted that registration for PG programs, which closed on June 12, 2025, saw 23,117 male, 30,490 female, and 2 transgender applicants. Among DU’s unique programs, 57,222 registrations were recorded, with LLB being the most popular at 9,270 applications, followed by MA Political Science with 4,996. Additionally, 1,131 applications were received for the single girl child quota and 90 for the orphan quota in PG programs.

This year, DU introduced two new PG courses: MA in Hindi Journalism and MA in Tourism Management. An MA in English Journalism will also commence soon. To promote inclusivity, a new single girl child quota reserves one seat per PG program. The UG admission process has been refined with a direct auto-accept mode in the upgraded Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal to ensure no applicant misses their allotment. Prof. Singh noted that the CSAS portal is mobile-compatible but recommended using laptops or desktops for optimal functionality.

Admissions for NCWEB, exclusively for female candidates from Delhi NCT, will begin soon, based on Class 12 merit scores. Prof. Singh emphasized that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has diversified DU’s student base, attracting candidates from small towns and state boards across India. The academic session is set to commence on August 1, 2025.

The Vice Chancellor also announced that portals for 5-year integrated law and B.Tech. programs have been launched, with allocation-cum-admission processes underway for various PG programs. DU continues to enhance its admission framework to ensure accessibility and transparency for all applicants.
